Looking for help identifying vehicle

I was involved in a hit and run last Tuesday while commuting to work on the corner of Elston and Cortland. I have some footage here, but unfortunately the plate isn’t captured. I am hoping some of you kind folks may be able to help identify the vehicle. Just shoot me a message or comment here if so and thank you!

Who's the professional that was manning the fireworks in Wicker/West Town?

Seriously, I'm trying to figure out if this was a business or a family. I was bummed that I missed seeing the official Navy Pier ones, but you absolutely came through.

Clothing/Shoes Donations

Does anyone have any good suggestions for a place to donate clothing/shoes? Hopefully, in the neighborhood or somewhere close. I am tired of giving my stuff to Goodwill, especially if there are better options.

Anti-Loitering alarm

This has recently been installed on the side of 1152 N Milwaukee. The buzzing is so loud it's coming into my apartment several hundred feet away. Should I contact the building or 311? It's been here about a week now and I finally lost it and walked the whole street to find the source.

Flooding

Anyone else experiencing flooding in the basement? It’s mild but I’m definitely getting water. I just looked at my weather app and it says “ 6.85” in the last 24 hours”

I hate this

Made a site to find good work spots in Wicker Park (looking for feedback)

Hey neighbors, I've been working remote a lot and got tired of guessing which cafes actually have outlets, decent wifi, and won't kick you out after an hour. So I built a small site called WindyDesk where people can rate spots on outlets, wifi, noise, seating, and food, kind of like Beli but for finding a place to work.

It's Chicago-only right now and pretty bare bones (I'm one person building this on the side), but I'd love for people in this neighborhood to check it out and add a review or two of their go-to spots. Any feedback, bugs, or "this is missing X" comments are welcome too.

Thanks for reading, happy to answer questions.

Tennis Courts at Roberto Clemente

What's the deal with the tennis courts at Roberto Clemente, 2260 W Division? Were these ever public courts and will they be fixed up at some point?

One thing this neighborhood lacks is enough courts

Flat Iron Arts Building open this Friday

Friday July 3 is a First Friday so we’ll have the building open with guest exhibitors, DJs and an open mic. Come hang out with us if you’re staying in the city!

We’ll also be open on Friday July 10 as part of the Wicker Park Bucktown Art Walk (which was moved from first Friday to second Friday due to the holiday). So if you can’t make it this Friday, come by next Friday!

And, if you are a local artist interested in setting up a table or displaying your art during our First Friday events, be sure to mention it to me or my husband in studio 304.

Weightlifting - WPAC vs WP Fitness vs Other?

Moved to wicker park near Division & Wood a few months ago - been going to WPAC in the time since. Haven’t been the biggest fan of WPAC, the space doesn’t feel big enough for the number of patrons it has in the morning

Anybody have a rec for a good gym? Mostly just need barbell/dumbbell/ some cables. Not an intense powerlifter or anything, don’t care about classes or fancy amenities

Threading recommendation please!!

Do any of you have a recommendation for threading places around wicker park? I’m also fine going outside of this neighborhood if there’s somewhere that’s really good!

No adoption fees for all cats at Chicago Animal Care & Control tomorrow, Saturday, 6/27! All cats are fully vetted before going home.

Its kitten season which means the shelter is at capacity. There are around 100 adoptable cats waiting to be chosen. I’m a volunteer — hope to see you there?
