Much like the Steam Frame advertises, playing your PC games native within headset is now possible, opening up a huge library of games without needing to ever plug into a PC.
This video gives behind the scenes info on the development with the now deprecated GameNativeXR Project and introduction to the NEW WinlatorXR version for July 2026
both applications allow you to play your Steam, Epic, GOG and Amazon PC store games inside your Meta Quests and Pico VR headsets- FOR FREE- WITHOUT any PC!
One important point covered in the video is about the hugely popular Meta Quest 3 and 3s VR headsets.
Unfortunately, Meta Horizon OS continues to barricade progress of existing and future developments that could one day potentially bring PCVR into standalone, This is due to the missing Turnip video driver support for Quest 3 and Quest 3s devices.
The Qualcomm drivers that Quest 3 / 3s uses suffers greatly with compatibility and performance compared to Turnip, being unable to render any openGL PC titles, while already having limited compatibility with dxvk (dx7-11) and vkd3d (dx12), sometimes unable to render correctly no matter the container setup.
The older Oculus / Meta Quest 2 remains compatible with Turnip, The PICO 4 Ultra which has the exact same chipset as a Quest 3, remains compatible with Turnip and the upcoming Steam Frame will be functioning solely with Turnip.
This lack of support stops any hope of using existing pre configured game profiles from something like GameNative, which assumes (quite rightly) that turnip would be supported on the GPU in quest 3.
This in part ultimately lead to returning development time to WinlatorXR, where full setup control can be managed in a way that doesn't have the users constantly fighting against incompatible setup being imported and not launching their games.
All code towards the XR modifications has been passed back to the GameNative project and the lead developer has since acquired a Meta Quest 3s, so the future is still bright and in safe hands, our hope is the massive community there can shout louder than me alone with regards to getting turnip support reinstated.

No development builds for GameNativeXR will be shared, but for the new WinlatorXR (CATS27 APK) see the setup guide below

I'm using Winlator Mali, which uses .wcp wrapper packages. I'm looking for a DXVK 1.10.3 Async build, preferably an ARM64EC or ARMEC version packaged as a .wcp file.
I've searched Reddit, GitHub, and other sources. I found the source code and a few Async builds, but they're either .tar.gz archives or they don't work with Winlator Mali.
The game I'm testing has good average FPS, but I'm getting noticeable frametime spikes that seem to be caused by shader compilation. I want to see if an Async DXVK build improves frame pacing and reduces stuttering.
If anyone has a working DXVK 1.10.3 Async .wcp package or knows where to find one, I'd really appreciate it.
Thanks in advance!
Has anyone here tried Elden Ring or Cyberpunk 2077 on a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 device? I’m curious about the FPS you get, what graphics settings you’re using, and which driver (Turnip/system) works best. If possible, let me know your phone model too. Thanks!
Watch the full video recording causing the fps to drop but it stays only around 50 to 60 fps ( even gets to 50 later in video )
In actual gameplay no the fps doesn't drop badly and there are no stutters or weird textures issues
Is there a good fov mod for this this looks really zoomed in

Hello all,
I am trying to play Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Conviction on my Odin 2 with physical controls. I have already added the Splinter Cell Conviction Fusion Fix from here
https://github.com/ThirteenAG/WidescreenFixesPack/releases/tag/scc
I have also gone through many video guides. However, I am still not able to get the physical controls working correctly, like B is working as A, and the whole control scheme is bugged and there is no way to remap them. Please let me know if anyone was able to play this game with the correct control scheme.
Videos or posts I have gone through so far.

Please help me to get this working with proper controls !!!
I dont have ANY problems with the fps. It gets worse when screen recording please fix it
Runs smoothly overall. The small stutters in the recording only lasted for the first couple of seconds and were not noticeable during gameplay.
I completed the mission up to the Bell Tower without any crashes or major issues.
My only concern so far is RAM usage.
The Winlator Mali settings are posted in the Community Config.
In game settings: • Medium preset • 720p resolution
(Turn off all the unnecessary things such as dynamic shadows*) Updating the settings here only
Its 720p

I tried doing almost everything like setting up the container accordingly but still the game isn't launching I'm not even getting and error message so I don't know what's happening, the configuration for burnout paradise is working fine but even after that I'm facing the same issue, help me here please

Runs smoothly for the most part with a few small frame pacing hiccups. Overall, it feels playable. The recording shows a few minor hitches that are barely noticeable during actual gameplay. I'll also post a lower resolution comparison later, which runs even better. And more gameplay of it in 1080p( in the comments)
I will love your feedback on it also wanna know if you think this is good or not. Thanks
( Not using FG) (Not using a cooler)
Its not a lighter version of gta 4 its the original game only**

Testing out Overlord: Raising Hell on the brand new GameNative 1.1.0 framework using the Proton 11 Arm64EC backend. Performance is absolutely incredible, staying locked above 60FPS even at a crisp desktop resolution of 1440x900 on Medium settings!
🎮 MY DEVICE & EMULATION SPECS:
• Chipset: Snapdragon 8 Gen 2
• Resolution: 1440x900 (Medium Settings)
• Emulator Frontend: GameNative 1.1.0
• Container Architecture: Arm64EC (FEXCore Backend)
• Compatibility Layer: Proton 11
• Graphics Driver: Turnip (DXVK 2.4.1)
• Mode: Local PC Emulation without Streaming
I've been trying to play Dark Souls 3 on my Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, but the performance just doesn't make sense.
The game sits at around 15–22 FPS no matter what I change. I tried dropping the resolution from 720p to 540p, and I also tested everything from Low to Maximum settings, but the FPS barely changes.
The weird part is that the main menu runs insanely fast (definitely over 100 FPS), but the second I load into the actual game it tanks to 15–22 FPS.
My phone also isn't getting hot at all (around 33°C), CPU usage is only around 40–50%, and GPU usage is around 30–40%, so it doesn't even look like it's using all the hardware.
I'm using:
The reason I'm confused is because I can run Silent Hill f at around 30–35 FPS with the same Winlator setup, so I'm not sure why Dark Souls 3 performs so much worse.
Has anyone else with an 8 Gen 3 run into this? Is this just a DS3/Winlator thing, or am I missing a setting somewhere?
Hey everyone,
Just wanted to share my absolute mind-blowing experience running Mafia II on the new Winlator Mali v1.0 build. Honestly, this new Mali update is nothing short of AMAZING!
The game runs at a crisp 80-90 FPS on Max Settings natively. However, to keep things ultra-fluid, I locked the base framerate to 30 FPS and enabled Frame Generation (FG). The result? A buttery smooth 120 FPS experience with zero visual artifacts and no noticeable input lag whatsoever! Playing this on a handheld/phone feels illegal.
⚙️ My Exact Setup & Settings:
Device: Poco X7 pro 12/512GB
Emulator: New Winlator Mali 1.0
Resolution: 1600×720
Proton: Proton10-Arm64ec
FEX: FEX 2605 (with Max Performance Preset)
Graphics: DXVK 1.7.2 + Wrapper (Default)
In-Game Graphics: MAX Settings
***The Only Issue (Need Help Fix This):
While the game is generally a smooth sail, I'm facing a weird optimization issue in the snowy open world. Whenever I step out or drive around the snow environment, the FPS hard drops to the 20-30 range. CPU/GPU utilization drops, and it seems like a driver/emulator bottleneck during world-streaming.
I’ve tried tweaking a few things but couldn't find a definitive way to fix this environmental lag yet.
Good thing is that snowy environment only available in 3 chapters
If anyone has figured out a fix for Mafia 2's open-world optimization on FEX/Mali, please let me know in the comments!
Otherwise, highly recommend trying this build out if you are on a Mali GPU (Testing on Dimensity 8400 Ultra). Cheers! 🕺🪩
To be honest, I forget exactly which fork this is on. One of the bionic variants I believe. Motorola edge 24. Adreno710 using banner412's turnip driver. I have it locked at 40fps to preserve battery but it will run at 60 with some stutters. I was giggling like a child making the antlions drown themselves. It actually looks and plays better than the native android port. Virtually zero glitches apart from normal source engine weirdness. No crashes.
I have Dimensity 8400 phone. I'm using the Winlator Mali 1.0 now. Some games have shader compile stutters and most of the games fixed with DXVK 1.10.x and 1.11.x - Async builds.
But some games only working with DXVK 1.7.x and older.
I can't add the tar.gz files in to winlator. That files keep showing not supported.
