Are there any public buildings in Winston with awindowed elevator?

Any buildings that are public that the elevator has a window where you can see outside while you're on it?

Just found out this is called a panoramic elevator. Any public panoramic elevators in Winston.

can we put our brains together and theorize the recipe for Carving Board sesame noodles?

I just paid $22.75 for the batch here. I feel sick... but also so yummy. It’s so basic but so good

AI ordering at fast food spots

Anyone else hate these as much as I do?

Went to Taco Bell at Silas and Peters Creek. All the up selling and being over talked by the AI on top of it getting my order wrong has me wanting to just not go back through the drive thru.

Is this "old man yells at clouds" territory?

Winston-Salem area highway history.

Greetings. I know that Winston-Salem had been severely changing very recently, including highways.

To anybody who knows lots of the history of the highways that may not be as documented publicly, I do want to hear from some of you.

  • I-40 1992 route?
  • Original I-40 (now Salem Parkway)?
  • Silas Creek Pkwy?
  • Controversy and delays with Winston-Salem Beltway?
  • Macy Grove Road?

and others?

Salem City FC - matches/supporters

Just moved to the area and planned on getting to some matches. I'm a firm believer in the phrase support your local soccer club, and my days of support go back to the Dallas Burn (FC Dallas) playing in the Cotton Bowl in the late 90's. Their website isn't the most updated, so I just had some questions regarding logistics.

I see that they've moved matches to Reynolds Stadium, so I assume they'll have a no alcohol policy. Do the supporters plan on pregaming across the street at the Opera House or The Tap? Is it mostly street parking, or will they use the lot that they would for high school football games? And with that in mind, assuming no tailgating will be happening.

Would love to meet some fellow supporters and get fully initiated into the scene, make some new friends.

Any tire shops that won’t over charge to swap our rims on my car?

Does anyone have any good recommendations on a tire shop that won’t over charge for swapping out some rims that I just bought for my car? I’m all for supporting those small tire shops all over town but everywhere that I’ve been don’t go Lower than $160 for swapping out the rims using the tires that are already on the car. That’s $40 per rim which seems a little over the top to me.

Ebert street closing May 28th?

Does anyone know how much of Ebert will be closing on May 28th or for how long time-wise it will be closed?
The big flashing sign only states the closing starts on the 28th at 9am.
I can’t find anything in a quick google search.

(Dead) Wildlife removal

I’ve had a dead raccoon in my tree for a few weeks now. I’ve been smelling something, but I wasn’t able to find it until yesterday.
I called the city and they told me they could pick it up. If it was on the curb. I asked how do I get it to the curb because I don’t know if it has rabies and they told me I don’t know ask a family member. They then gave me the number to what I thought was animal control, but was actually the animal shelter. The animal shelter gave me the number to animal control. Animal control said that they don’t handle that to call wildlife. Wildlife said they don’t remove live or dead animals that I should call pest control. Pest control won’t service me because I don’t own the home. I rent it.
Does anyone have any suggestions on how to handle a possibly rapid dead animal? Please keep in mind I rent, I don’t have a shovel and it’s in a tight space. Just seeing and smelling it yesterday had me doubled over in my front yard vomiting, so I would rather not do it myself. If there is a company, you know of, please let me know.

Meadowlark Construction

Anybody know what they are doing on Meadowlark where they tore down the old Silo and all the trees? I’m assuming housing development. Maybe apartments?
