Waiting to be dried
He insists on being sprayed with the hose, as well as chasing and biting the water. Good thing he has a wiry coat!

Pretty sure the answer is all of them but….Tuddy Ciscero is a piece of work!
Geno earned a Den Hunt Tested ribbon today! He is officially a working terrier.
THE QUESTION: Since you have switched to clipping instead of handstripping, how has the shedding been? Does your fox terrier shed more? if so, how much etc.
Uuno is around 11 months old now, and has been handstripped by a pro once and twice by me (it went good btw, though I am super slow lol). Since he’s not a show dog or a working dog, I’ve also thought about the option of Uuno getting trimmed with clippers instead of handstripping. I feel like so many of the wft’s in here are also clipped instead of stripped and I’m considering it because the only pro doing handstripping near me doesn’t even live in the same town as me, so it would possibly make our life easier. And yes, I’m aware that there’s pretty much no going back to handstripping from the clipping choice.
any comments, experiences etc. are welcome! thank you!
Big change from the puppy’s look! Our 11 year old is also glad to have the winter hair off.
...and become the lizard 🦎
In case Dad drops any of his ham sandwich, Boomer is there for the clean up!
I own a 3 year old miniature schnauzer, and have been considering adding another dog to our household, and I am particularly interested in a WFT.
When trying to research the breed, especially when comparing them to minis, I noticed everything seemed to line up the same or similarly in terms of size, grooming, and overall temperment; however I am a little unsure of how the energy levels compare.
How much exercise do you find your wires need?
Edit: my mini needs at least 1 hour of walking and 1 hour of chase time plus addition play time a day. On weekends he can go for several mile walks/hikes.
I don't know about you folks but Rex's walks are not so much a "walk", more of a stroll with stopping and sniffing every few yards. My fitness watch confirms this. The problem is that we normally tend to follow lots of other dogs so there's always lots of scents to discover. We need to find some new routes!
