Hi everyone, I'm new to WooCommerce and trying to understand real costs before I get started. I know core WooCommerce plugin is free, but is that enough to run a basic online store?
At what point did you feel need to buy premium plugins or other services?
I'd really appreciate hearing from people who have launched a WooCommerce store.
How do I create a packing slip in woo? Do I need a plugin and if so which is the best? I don't need invoices at this stage.
But no seriously I feel like I’m in literal hell right now. F u Shopify for terminating all vape stores. How tf is anyone supposed to use this shit. Took me 1 day to set up my Shopify store. 6 years, NO Changes to the site and 100k+ orders. Migrated to because I had no choice and everyone recommended WooCommerce. Paying a Dev to migrate the site. log in, Jesus Christ I must be in hell right now.
I promise this crash out is justified with everything I’ve gone through this week.

i am into an app for offering online shop setup via hosting and woocommerce. whats the cheapest way of doing some very early stage hosting for the first 100 customers?
I have both physical and digital products. I am signed up with Omnisend but they can not handle putting the product link in the email like the default woocommerce does.
I'd like the workflow to work like this:
Customer orders PDF and on payment> Gets one email with a direct link to their download = end of the transaction emails.
For the physical products> A different email which details acknowledges the order and includes info about shipping > then the shipped notification.
When/if someone were to order both a physical and digital item in the same order I would like to have the download link in the order received email - here is your file. The physical item will be shipped etc.
Can anyone recommend plugins or service that allows me to have two different workflow emails based upon the category of my product, AND have the download link in emails?
So basically we've been looking for a no code ecommerce builder and shopify is not an option for us. Been searching for a while and can't find anything useful :(((
Has anyone actually built a store with something other than shopify? we need it to be no code bc we're not devs. payment integrations and good templates important to us.
The official Meta plugin appears to add about 1 second to the Add to Cart request.
I need Meta tracking, but I don’t necessarily need the official plugin if it’s adding 1+ second to the cart flow. Anyone else see this and have work arounds?
I’m trying to figure out if i should go with an open source ecommerce platform or just use shopify. everyone says different things. some say open source is better because you control everything, others say shopify is easier and worth the cost.

Hey everyone. I'm wondering if anyone knows of a plugin that can do what I need or plugins that could be utilized together to get there or close. I would like to do rentals with daily rates but that could ALSO be covered by a membership tier. So, unlike regular customers, a member of the correct subscription could rent one product at a time for free up to a certain time limit.
Basically an original Netflix or Blockbuster style rental system.
Friend is an artistan that makes amigurumis and is making a store using Woocommerce and wants to tick items so they are never limited by stock because she makes them by demand. Using Wordpress, but i dunno if that makes a difference or not.
developed a website in woocommerce with help of the elementor page and to create a shop and a single product page I use the Shopbuilder plugin to make it good but in a single product page in the product gallery in elements because of that I'm not able to add the product video on last and in shopbuilder plugin they only provide the product photo not a photo gallery.
I tried all ways to make it but I couldn't if somebody knows how to do it , it will help me.
I don't want to change the shopbuilder plugin for this issue but I know shopbuilder plugin making a terrible but jumping into another shop page builder takes too much time to create
I'm currently migrating from Neto (now Maropost), and one feature that I loved about it was the ease of setting different pricing groups. For example, I sell to both retail and wholesale customers, so I could set the regular display price of a product to 'group a', and wholesale pricing to 'group b', and my wholesale customers login accounts would give them access to the B pricing. All I had to do was fill in the different prices on each item, and when someone signed up for a wholesale account, I assigned their pricing group to the account.
Any recommendations for a plugin that can do that? I don't want to just do a blanket percentage discount for certain accounts because different products have wildly different margins.

I'm trying to permanently disable the Terms & Conditions
checkbox on my WooCommerce checkout page.
I've already tried:
- Going to Appearance → Customize → WooCommerce → Checkout
and setting both Privacy Policy and Terms & Conditions
to "No page"
- Saving the changes
But every time I refresh or save something, it automatically
gets reassigned back to a Terms page.
The Terms page also seems to get auto-created even after I
trash it.
Has anyone dealt with this? Is there a hook or code snippet
to permanently prevent WooCommerce from auto-assigning or
auto-creating the Terms page?

Just went through our store analytics and found that a big chunk of searches around 23% are returning zero results. We're in the home decor space with a lot of color variations per product so customers often search things like "soft ivory" or "deep taupe" but the search system doesn't understand those terms.
Is there any service or plugin that can handle intent-based or attribute driven searches like this without needing to manually set up every possible synonym?
I have an e-commerce website with over 3k products. I find the native WooCommerce search feature to be inadequate and am looking for some other options...

I've recently paid for a premium Yith plugin. I've had to contact support a few times regarding certain things and whilst the plugin itself seems pretty good, their support - holy shit... it's *horrendous!*
Am I just having bad luck with it or is the days waiting between responses normal?
I run a webshop for a client. We use WooCommerce and Sendcloud (a shipping & label automation platform — sendcloud.com) for labeling: once an order is placed, it goes from WooCommerce to Sendcloud for processing and labeling, and then the order is marked as "Sent" in WooCommerce.
My client is now experiencing a lot of problems with the integration, such as very slow processing when the order volume is large. He also called me yesterday to say that an order had been marked as "Sent" in WooCommerce without being processed by Sendcloud — it wasn't even in there. He handled the order manually and then it was fine, but these problems are starting to frustrate him.
One more strange thing: in the order's change history in WooCommerce, I saw that the moment the order was placed, the status was set to "Sent" in that same minute — under the client's user ID. He says he didn't do it, and I believe him, because it's very odd that it happened in the exact same minute the order came in.
For context: my client prefers his old way of working, where he sets orders to "Sent" by hand within WooCommerce. I'm not entirely sure why, but that's his preference. So my actual question is: what is the ideal setup to handle this correctly?

Hello everyone,
I recently updated to WooCommerce 10.9.1 and noticed that Draft Orders are no longer showing up or recording in the system.
Previously, I relied on draft orders to recover abandoned carts by retrieving customer contact information from unfinished checkouts and offering them additional discounts. Since the update, this data is completely missing as no new drafts are being generated.
Has anyone else run into this issue with the latest release? If so, is there a known conflict, a new setting I need to toggle, or a temporary workaround to get them recording again?

I spent the weekend trying to understand why one of my WooCommerce stores suddenly behaved strangely.
Symptoms:
Database grew to 1.3 GB
PHP error log exploded to 7.9 GB
Random database lock errors
Deadlocks in Action Scheduler
INSERT command denied messages
Background processing running almost continuously
At first I suspected:
Redis
WP Rocket
a custom JSON-LD plugin I was developing
a recent server upgrade
None of them were the cause.
After digging through the database I found this:
wc_run_batch_process
status: complete
1,072,113 actions
The args field pointed to:
Automattic\WooCommerce\Internal\DataStores\Orders\DataSynchronizer
The interesting part:
The store has only 600+ orders.
Only 1 pending Action Scheduler job existed at any given time.
As soon as one batch completed, the next one was immediately scheduled.
So this wasn't a growing queue.
It looked like an endless loop:
pending
↓
complete
↓
schedule next batch
↓
pending
↓
...
The issue only became obvious after comparing the Action Scheduler tables with the HPOS configuration.
I'm still investigating the exact trigger, but if your WooCommerce database suddenly starts growing at an unusual rate, check your Action Scheduler before assuming it's a database or server issue.
Sometimes the problem isn't the database.
It's the background worker that never stops scheduling itself.
Has anyone experienced a similar HPOS / DataSynchronizer loop?
