I started this build journey a year ago with people telling me the dial couldn’t be made. It was the first jeweled rep that actually spoke to me. Since then I’ve fallen down another branch of this damn stupid rabbit hole. But damn am I happy that I discovered it. Was able to build it off of a weighted DDF 26240 because honestly the gen 38mm size would look like a child’s toy on my wrist. 🤣🤣🤣

I tried on this GMT-Master II at a certified Rolex dealer and was wondering which factories produce the best Reps.

I have a pretty extensive collection. I do ask myself most days, what do I want to wear today? Shall I go with anything else? And then I grab the Batgirl and off I go. It’s just pretty much the perfect watch for me.

My full Pepsi build is still in development. Once completed, I expect to at least give equal wrist time to it. But it’s still in build and so until then, I just keep coming back to this one.

I have never sold anything from my collection, and don’t anticipate doing so. Everything I have is because it spoke to me on some level and I like having them. But the Batgirl/Batman/Pepsi are just watch perfection to me.

Yesterday around before noontime, I contacted Nerjohn of Timemedics and asked him if he could chopsuey the two datejusts that I got the other day. He replied pretty fast and I had my stuff sent over to their headquarters right away.

Much to my surprise, I got a reply from him within a couple hours saying they were almost done and that they were just soaking the bracelet in the ultrasonic cleaner and within a couple more hours my watch was back on my wrist.

Here are the stuff I had done:
- Dial swap
- Crystal swap
- Bezel swap
- Rehaut polish
- Bracelet softening
*I basically just had the parts of my VSF V1 swapped into my new ARF LOL!

This is the semi-final result! (Semi final because I’m not done with this piece just yet as I’m still on the lookout for gen parts 🙈)

I want a chocolate daytona with full metal bracelet. Considering 3CF (comes with SW dial and deep xtal from factory), MZF (supposedly already plated for real from factory) or.... have one built. I contacted a well known Chinese modder and they quoted me nearly $3k USD. I welcome any advice and experience with this model.
