Xenia Canary now Supports Asynchronous Shader compilation, massively improving playability of Tomb Raider Underworld and its DLCs.
See the small stutters after loading the level and high CPU usage ? That's background shader compilation (may sometimes be accompanied by visual glitches if the compilation isn't fast enough) . On older versions of Xenia It would've taken multiple dozen second game freezes just to start the game and then there'd be massive multi-second stutters everytime something new happened on screen or you enter a new area. I have seen stuttering lasting as long as 40 seconds in some cases. It legit used to feel like game crashed, not anymore. The feature was first introduced in march but the one I tried here was may 17 release.
Also my CPU is 5600H, faster CPUs will be much better. Impressive work by emulator devs as always.
