am I still in a deficit?

Hey everyone!

I’ve been tracking my calories daily with Yazio for about a week now to lose weight, and my current daily goal is set to around 1,700 calories.

However, whenever I burn extra active calories using my smartwatch, the app automatically increases my calorie limit. Sometimes it shoots up to over 2,000 calories for the day, and it's making me wonder: if I eat up to that higher limit, am I actually still in a calorie deficit?

How do you guys usually handle this? Should I be eating back those exercise calories, or should I stick strictly to my base goal? Thanks for any advice.

Smartwatch suggestion and use

Does any of you guys that are into calories and macros tracking (bodybuilding, running and highly active job) actually eat precisely what your Watch says you have burned? If yes what kind of Watch you suggest and what you suggest to avoid, i'm also interested in the sleep feature and all the kinda of "nerdy" stuff about data but i'm looking for some real Life experiences of people Who use their Watch for their fitness goals to understand what i can buy or not and if they are actually reliable, thanks.

Step counting

Need some help, changing phone, i've buyed a Motorola 60 Edge neo and it's kinda driving me Crazy cause It adds extra step, i have 3 phone on me right now and a pedometer and the two phone that are older are kinda showing less steps than the reality but the Motorola Is showing more steps than what i really do (i'm kinda ocd about It and i've counted my steps for a week straight Cause i use It to track my calorie expenditure and not end up in a deficit randomly), the only way to make the new phone match the calorie expenditure of the old One Is to set my weight 10 kg lighter in the app so It balances the over estimation, i work a really Active job and i'm looking for a step counting method that can be reliable, a Watch can be misleaded by my arms swinging or not swinging, the pedometer Is kinda inaccurate and works fine only when walking not for everyday steps, do some of yall track calorie macros and Total Daily expenditure? Can some of yall share their method or fix or ideas about It?

Why different Calories on two different accounts?

How can it be that the AI has such a deviation?

My GF is so sad that her Calories are always much higher than mine?

Does YAZIO's AI food photo feature tend to underestimate calories?

Has anyone noticed whether YAZIO's AI meal recognition tends to underestimate calories?

I've been using the feature where you take a photo of your meal and the AI estimates the ingredients and nutrition. It seems convenient, but I'm wondering if it's a bit too optimistic with calorie estimates.

For those of you who have compared it with weighed ingredients or manual entries, how accurate has it been? Does it usually underestimate, overestimate, or is it generally reliable?

I'm currently trying to lose weight and I log everything I eat. It made me wonder whether my actual calorie intake might be higher than what YAZIO estimates, which could explain why my weight loss isn't quite matching my expectations.
