Can the Intel core ultra 7 256v handle Switch emulations

I am planning to buy this laptop mainly for work,

HP omnibook x flip 16

Core ultra 7 256V

Arc 140v igpu

16gb LPDDR5x ram

1TB SSD

however I want to run Citron on it and Play TOTK or BOTW. But I couldn’t find any related emulation benchmarks for this CPU and IGPU.

Did anyone tried running On similar setup?

Thanks in advance?

Stable 4k/60fps in TOTK?

Is there any way to get it to work at this point in time? I have an AMD Ryzen 7800x3d CPU and Nvidia 4090 GPU but it seemed to me like no emulator, even with the TOTK Optimizer, could run it smoothly. :/

The world goes black when I try to switch weapons leaving only UI (Eden)

The worst part is it only happens consistently with Vulkan and sometimes doesn't with OpenGL. I would really like to know a fix for this and continue using Vulkan because OpenGL performance is trash.

My specs: RTX 3050, i5-12450H, 16gb ram

Mods: FPS++ and clean interface + blackscreen fix with xbox layout

All drivers are up to date and already tried clearing cache

Eden crashes when starting/ending a round of SSBU. How can I fix it?

I know its not my hardware, and its not Vulkan vs. OpenGL. (I've tried both.) I am new to Eden because Ryujibing/Ryujinx had terrible studdering. Please help!

Edit: I'm playing on PC. I've got a GTX 3070, Ryzen 5600x, 32gb of DDR4 ram.

I need help with "Press L or R" please.

I'm completely new to emulation and I'm using ryujinx and Eden in steam deck to emulate switch games, I've managed to play animal crossing new horizons and Tomodachi but every Mario game or Pokemon game I try to play is impossible, when I launch them it says "press L or R" and no matter what I press nothing happens. Can someone help me with these cause I spent literally more than 10 hours yesterday trying and nothing.

Disabling speed limit does nothing?

Title. Trying to fast forward on a few games but disabling the speed limit doesn't actually change anything. Tried disabling VSYNC in the settings and also in NVIDIA control panel, no changes. And yes, my PC has the specs to handle it.

Tomodachi Life Living The Dream on AMD Ryzen 7 5700u

Hey guys, I'm writing this for my friend. She has a Mini PC that comes with an AMD Ryzen 7 5700u and 16GB of RAM. Whether she uses Vulkan or OpenGL, the grass looks glitchy or blocky respectively.

Is there any settings that we can change to help her or is she just straight out of luck haha.

Much appreciated guys.

Is Legion Go really better for Tears of the kingdom ?

Hello,

I was thinking about getting a steam deck, mostly for emulation.

The 2 main games that I’m concerned about are BOTW and TOTK and from what I heard, Legion Go is better. Is that true ?

In terms of performance, I would like TOTK to be as close to the Switch 1 performance as possible. Is that realistic ?

I don’t really know much about Legion Go so I need some help.

Will BOTW and TOTK “just work” on steam deck or is some further optimization needed ?

Hello,

I plan on getting a steam deck mostly for emulation and I want to know if it’s easy to set up these 2 games on yuzu on it ?

I already know how to set up yuzu on windows but I have no experience with Linux / steam deck. Is the process same or similar ?

Pokemon games sped up

Hey guys, I have a weird issue with Pokémon Legends: Arceus on my Legion Go running Bazzite + the latest stable version of Citron.

The game runs at 60 FPS and it’s also running faster than normal, like the whole game is sped up. I have the same issue in Pokémon Sword.

Before this, I played Pokémon Luminescent Platinum. Could mods from that somehow affect other Pokémon games as well? I have had 60 fps mods installed which also speed up the game x2

I already tried disabling the mods and even deleted them from the mod folder completely, but the problem still happens.

What’s strange is that other games seem fine. For example, I tested Super Mario Odyssey and it runs normally.

Does anyone know what could cause this?

EDIT: I played around with the settings a bit, but without success. In the end, I just installed a 60 FPS mod.

Huge performance difference between Windows 10 and 11.

Hi, I recently got a TUF laptop. Its specs are: Ryzen 5 7535HS, RTX 2050, 16GB of RAM, and an NVMe SSD and using the latest stable version of Eden.

I've been having performance issues with emulators, especially with Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Tears of the Kingdom, and some other Switch games.

The problem started when I tried Cemu. BOTW doesn't go above 40 FPS and often drops to around 25 FPS, which doesn't seem to be related to shader compilation. I found this strange because I've managed to run it at 60 FPS on less powerful laptops, and I've seen systems with the same specs reach those frame rates without issues.

Something similar happens with TOTK. Although I know it's much more demanding, I can barely get a very unstable 30 FPS, which is far below the performance other people report with similar hardware. The weird part is that the laptop performs exactly as expected in native PC games, even slightly better after configuring G-Helper.

I've tried practically everything: optimizing Windows, tweaking emulator settings, adjusting CPU boost behavior with G-Helper, and even performing clean installs of both W11 and W11 LTSC. At best, I only gained 2–3 FPS and a bit more stability.

A few weeks ago, I needed to install Win10 on another partition for some university software. I only installed the basic chipset and GPU drivers along with a few simple system tweaks. Out of curiosity, I tested Eden there, and TOTK immediately started running between 40-45 FPS in balanced power mode, maintaining a nearly locked 45 FPS most of the time.

Since then, I've been trying to figure out what's causing the issue on my main Windows 11 installation. I've tested different settings and even restored everything to default, but performance is still stuck around 24–30 FPS.

Has anyone experienced something similar or found a possible solution? Is this a relatively common issue with Windows 11 and emulators, or would I simply get better results using Windows 10 or Linux?

SOLVED!

Based on comments from this and other subreddits, I decided to give Windows 11 one last chance before switching to Linux.

First, I reinstalled Windows 11, but nothing changed; it still had the same poor performance. Then I did a complete wipe of the SSD and installed the system from scratch, also deleting the partition where I had Windows 10, and that's what solved the problem. With practically the same configuration, BOTW in Cemu now reaches 80 FPS, and TOTK stays stable at around 50 FPS. I don't know exactly what conflict the partitions were causing, but in my case, a completely clean install was the solution.

Tomodachi Life but not on Ryubinx?

I've been trying to run Tomodachi Life on Ryubinx and it just keeps crashing- not even lagging, Ihave a GTX 1060 and I swear it's good enough while I play other games like on Yuzu (i genuinely had no idea development stopped for that one so I kept using it) so can you suggest another emulator for me? I also have a save file I don't wanna lose so help me move that to the new emulator too please ;-;
