260813 ZEROBASEONE Ascend- ranks #4 on “The Best K-Pop Albums Of 2026 (So Far)” list by Complex - Esperanza Rosenbaum

“Four members of ZEROBASEONE left in March. Two months later, the remaining five named their comeback single "TOP 5." The single is a knockout—a 2000s dance-pop and R&B throwback where Taerae, the group's strongest vocalist, goes sexy for the first time.
Elsewhere, Gunwook logs his first writing credit on the flirty "Customize." The new lineup gives every voice room to breathe—the falsetto chorus on "V for Vision," Matthew opening "Exotic," the crooning on "Changes." They save the one track that sounds like the nine-member days for last—"Zero to Hundred," a youthful, refreshing closer that honors where they came from as the new era begins.”

260818 ZB1 REALLY WON KCON LA

Guys, am I the only one noticing how many people are suddenly saying they want to stan ZB1 after KCON LA?? Because they genuinely did SO well.

  • TOP5: I got chills when the crowd started singing along to Hanbin’s line at the beginning.
  • Sexy Back: Legendary cover with a whole new choreography. This was THE performance that had everyone gagged
  • Exotic: They really did justice to the song.
  • Closer: Such a good song, and it gave Jiwoong a big stage to promote his song.
  • Love Wins All: The flashlights during this were so beautiful and ofcoure Taerea vocal.
  • V for Vision: The fans doing the iconic fanchant, It was not that loud, but i could hear it through the livestream.
  • Slam Dunk: Fans are really acting like they had never performed at KCON LA
  • Doctor Doctor: Good as always.
  • Zero to Hundred: Such a good way to end the stage!

But I’m still confused about the “spoiler film” No tour, no comeback until next year… SO WHAT WAS THE SPOILER???

Honestly, KCON LA was such a good opportunity for them and I feel like they really made the most of it.

Which performance do you think attracted the most new fans? 👀

Again some female fans from Japan got physically aggressive ( like last year ) at kcon.

They always manage to get the barricade and the members seem to remember them all the time. The members make signs and gestures to them that they will go to them after they perform (I have videos showing that). Hanbin took 3-4 selfies with the same girl over the course of the three days. Matthew with another of them as well. Another fan got elbowed by one of them. They called the security and they just gave a warning. Another fan got scratched and her arm slapped away twice, and this episode was straight in front of hanbin because he was interacting with fans and taking some selfies just before leaving. Security got called again but it was already the end of the show and they dashed away. It seems they don’t want anybody to interact with the members in their territory.

I am sorry but after what I witnessed I feel there is some sort of favoritism.

Last year they got physically aggressive with fans at the meet and greet and in the same year I also noticed the same patter of the members doing high five with the girls of that fandom but it was more subtle. It was discussed here before.

Sorry but after the discussion we had here about gunwook controversy, this all situation with that specific fandom is giving me bad taste in my mouth. People line up and wait for hours and spend the same money at kcon like those Japanese fans but what is the point if they are in any case more preferred

In addition: they get barricade but 50% of time they just play with their phones, squat down or check their social media while other artists are performing
