Any way to manipulate plant spawn better or are there even ways to get 2 spawns more often?

Just played her and fell in love. I saw kerei say that having two same plants reduces the damage but I couldn't find anything on the ability description. Can some give me tips and suggestions regarding combos and all. I mainly play jgl.
