There’s probably a good reason this hasn’t happened yet but wondering why not. Bucks surely won’t be competitive this year and Jazz can part ways with some of their asset treasure trove to get a good rim defending center. With the desperate center and defense deficit we have Id think the Jazz would be interested in this sort of trade.
I’d say most of the time I’m out on the water, I’m after one specific fish that would give me the fulfillment of a lifetime if I catch it. For me it’s a brown of at least 25 inches in size. I would feel like after that I could die happy and every fish afterwards would be a victory lap. Do you have a fish of a certain size or even just a certain species you’ve made it a lifelong goal to achieve in catching?

I’m admittedly an idiot when it comes to the new cap rules. Let’s say if the Jazz match a rich offer for Kessler at $40 million/year. I know most of the salary would be tied up between JJJ/Lauri and now Walk and that would likely mean we would lack the flexibility to go after free agents while they’re all on the roster together but what else?
If the FO really believes in the roster as currently constructed why not overpay Walker and let things ride until a trade could be made or one of their contracts expire?
Okay so Oscar Tshiebwe at the 5, Bez Mbeng, Flip at the 4, Key at the point. But do you guys really think Hayden Gray has finally earned his spot starting over Cody Williams?
I know it would take a lot to get him and would be a pretty big swing but we need a solid SG.
I think the framework of the deal could look something like trading Lauri for salary matching and the CLE 27 and 29 picks along with a pick swap in 28. To sweeten the deal for Cleveland maybe bring in a 3rd team for strong hustle players like Collin Sexton since their roster needs a lot more fight like we all saw tonight.

I know there’s a lot of excitement going on about getting the #2 pick and who that might be but just want to shift focus to see which players are worth targeting in free agency or through trades to bolster our already strong roster.
As currently constructed I think the team could use a solid backup point guard and a backup center (if Nurk doesn’t re-sign). More ball handling/play making in general would be beneficial to make our offense flow smoother as Key is probably the only elite one in those categories.
I would also hope all of Lauri-Ace-Key-JJJ-Walker-# 2 pick are considered untouchables in any sort of trade talks.
