Real Customer Support Suggestions?

The email associated with my Marriott Bonvoy account is no longer valid. When I tried to change my email, it attempts to send a verification code to the email that doesn’t work. As of today, I can’t even access my account because it wants me to verify the code sent to the old email address.

I started by calling customer support for assistance, the representative informed me they cannot assist me over the phone and to email bonvoy.program@marriott.com

After sending an email, the representative responds by telling me to call customer support. I explained I was told to email for support. I tried calling customer support again and they insist I need to verify my identity via email to bonvoy.program@marriott.com

The Residence Inn I stayed at last week was unable to change my email and suggested calling customer support. Can they really not update the Bonvoy profile email?

It’s been three weeks and I’m not getting anywhere. Is there another solution? A better contact number or email? I’m staying at a Fairfield Inn tomorrow and I’m not able to access my Bonvoy profile to check in. I don’t understand why they make it difficult to update an email address for me.
