Hey everyone, I’m looking at getting a 2026 Hummer EV 2x, and I have a question on how these beasts handle in the snow and ice. I live on a hill and the road has some turns. I currently have a 2007 Dodge Ram 1500 4x4. I normally put it in 4H and use 1st or 2nd gear and let it crawl down the hill with no gas or break.

I know I need to not have the regenerative breaking on in the snow, but how well does the Hummer EV do for maintaining grip? I’ve always used the gear ratio to help slow me down in the winter, and don’t like the thought of using the breaks when going down snowy or icy hills.

Thanks everyone! This has made me feel more comfortable that Hummer should handle as good or better than my current truck.
