NSFW! The skin on my face no is being destroyed I think?
36F. It started with the first nodule (photo 1) back in late Jan-Early Feb. it eventually sloughed off in the shower when I was washing my face one day. Terrified me… I’m used to things draining, not disintegrating on me…. It left a shallow raw sore on my cheek. After weeks of slow healing and oral antibiotics, I thought I could stop taking them. And another one came up on the opposite cheek, and then the chin… and now they’re not firm solid bumps anymore.
my jawline looks like sh*t. I won’t answer the doorbell. I won’t get the mail. I need help and there’s obviously a big problem here. Occasionally I get a deep itch & tingle. It mostly just burns towards the surface where it’s raw though. The lesions seem to be spreading towards the ear on that same side - where I have a lesion as well. Is the ER or urgent care better for this kind of thing? I kind of want to be swabbed to see what’s causing it. I am SO sick of this deep, deep pain that precedes these weird lesions that constantly come and go but this time it’s gone too far… I just don’t want them to think I’m a “picker,” because yes, that has contributed. But there’s something else going on…any suggestions are appreciated. I have no clue whats going on. But I can see a few dark hairs poking thru on my chin in photos I took before any lesions showed up and I had the deepest, bruise-like tenderness underneath the middle of my jawline….and that’s exactly where it’s currently affected.
