I played about 60 minutes of the Hell Let Loose: Vietnam console playtest. Here are my first impressions and some feedback.

UI / Menus
The UI feels very unintuitive. Squad selection, loadout selection, and choosing a spawn point all take some getting used to. It doesn’t feel as clear or responsive as it should.
Vehicle mechanics
I only drove the truck, but it was never clear which trees or bushes I could drive through and which ones would stop the vehicle. Eventually I got my truck permanently stuck on a very small slope that behaved like a cliff. That felt more like broken collision than intended gameplay.

Tutorial
I actually like the idea of unlocking or learning the roles through the tutorial. However, I had to restart the first tutorial multiple times because I did something slightly unexpected or ran into bugs. Within the first few minutes it already became obvious that the game is far from finished.

Voice chat indicator
It constantly looks like you’re talking. The voice chat indicator/menu doesn’t disappear even when you’re not speaking, which is distracting.

Overall
I can see the vision for this game, and I genuinely want it to succeed. But these are only the most obvious issues I encountered in just one hour of gameplay. They weren’t minor annoyances—they had a major impact on the experience.
At its current state, the game feels far from ready, and I honestly don’t think it’s in a condition to launch in August. I almost regret pre-ordering it, and I really hope the release is delayed if that’s what’s needed to deliver a polished experience.
