Dev team (console)

will t17 have a dedicated team to oversee qol for all of us on console?

HLL currently gets little support when it comes to bugs and gameplay issues. we have maps with the same stuttering issues, crashes and textures that don’t load. a load of other issues but i’m not here to bash. yall know what it is thatwe deal with.

i just want to know how console will be taken care of before i purchase anything.

HLL Vietnam Skepticism

I am so confused because all I have seen for years is how badly Team17 and the development team that took over after blackmatter sold the IP is how bad HLL has been run. And I've seen it with the updates over the past couple of years. Yet with HLL Vietnam all I'm seeing is praise about how this is going to be a great game this and that and I haven't seen one person or I should say content creator mention how Team17 handled HLL when it seems that's all people could talk about with HLL for a while now. Maybe I'm just not looking hard enough but it just seems really odd to me how everything about HLL Vietnam is positive when barely any gameplay has been shown.

Edit: i was not aware of the public playtest until now I made this post thinking the only information about the gameplay was from the private playtest videos I saw. My point is that most of the feedback ive seen sounded neutral if anything and no one seemed to acknowledge team 17s shit job with HLL. So again wasn't aware more info dropped since the private playtests

DLC Skins!?

So in HLL Vietnam, do yall think we're getting hello kitty skins in the battlepass like we did for HLL 🤔

In all seriousness, what are yall thoughts on paying more money for content that is coming in Q3 and Q4 this year and NOT at launch?

Can the medics get some love

I don't think a ticket system is the best answer, but we need a way for the average medic to be more useful.

Personally I'm down for mandatory bleed timers with shorter wave spawns, it would maintain the general time between lives if you weren't rezed but it gives medics the opportunity to get to you if they can.

I would also keep the long bleed timers to allow people to wait for medics.

Just some thoughts. Y'all's input?

Open Beta Testing - 29th May until 1st June

Good afternoon folks. It’s been great seeing how excited everyone is for the release of Hell Let Loose: Vietnam and the upcoming Open Beta.

As previously mentioned, next weekend’s beta test will be available for Steam players.

However, we know that all of you playing on console are eager to know when you'll also be able to get into the fight- we will have more news on that to share soon. Just like you, we want to get players across all platforms into the game as soon as possible, and we will provide a further update at the end of the week.

Thanks for your patience and stay tuned 🫡

WHY SO MANY BABIES?

Every gaming community says they want innovation until the second a developer actually tries something different.”

The amount of whining over Hell Let Loose: Vietnam is getting ridiculous. Half the complaints are from people acting like the game already launched broken when we’ve barely even seen real gameplay.

“UE5 is gonna ruin it.”
Okay? People said the same thing about literally every engine transition in gaming history. Unreal Engine 5 isn’t automatically bad because some other studio optimized their game poorly. If the original HLL stayed on UE4 forever, the exact same people would complain that the game looked outdated and stagnant.

“Helicopters will ruin the immersion.”
You mean helicopters… in Vietnam? The war most famously associated with helicopters? Some of you want “realism” until realism includes things you personally don’t like.

“Team17 is killing the franchise.”
Meanwhile the same people were screaming for years that the original HLL needed new content, engine improvements, better systems, jungle maps, expanded warfare mechanics, etc. Now they’re finally trying to evolve the formula and suddenly everyone wants the exact same 2021 gameplay loop forever.

And the funniest part is people pretending the original game is being deleted. It’s not. WWII HLL still exists. Nobody is forcing you to uninstall it and fight in Hue City.

The community has gotten addicted to doomposting. Every announcement turns into:

  • “dead game”
  • “cash grab”
  • “devs are clueless”
  • “this will fail”

Then six months later everybody’s playing it anyway.

Constructive criticism is fine. Constant hysterical crying over trailers, engine names, and imagined problems is exhausting. Some of you need to stop treating every development update like a personal betrayal and just wait to see actual gameplay before writing dissertations about how the franchise is doomed.

Did any Ryzen 5 5500 owners play the Hell Let Loose Vietnam closed beta?

I didn't have the opportunity to participate in the closed beta and I would like to know if anyone with a Ryzen 5 5500 had the chance to run the game, at what fps and with what video card. I'm aware that team17 requires a Ryzen 5 5600x as a minimum, but I'd like to know if anyone has actually run it and been able to play it well with a Ryzen 5 5500.

Sorry for the quality of the translation.

Is this game fully releasing June or is it early access? Why is this game cheaper than original HLL?

39.99 vs 49.99?

Only other company I know that released a sequel cheaper was Grounded 2 which is in early access.

Is this game gonna be complete barebones at launch? Is it a EA release or full release?

Will the Open Beta help Hell Let Loose: Vietnam or not?

I've read several posts on social media indicating that the closed beta of Hell Let Loose: Vietnam still has room for improvement and some major bugs. Unfortunately, I didn't have the opportunity to play the closed beta. I hope the open beta doesn't harm the game, as it seems it generally needs more time to fix bugs.

Announcement when?

Just your daily reminder that consoles were announced to be apart of this beta so why remove consoles from beta and say fuck all

Why are people saying the Closed beta was an old version?

A lot of people were saying that the closed beta was an old version and leading to some bad optimization if not, How are they fixing the bad optimization in 1 month and they said it takes months to fix it.

Loot boxes

Are you guys ready for the loot boxes?

Biggest thing I can't wait for is running around the jungle slide cancelling mothers fuckers as Beavis and Butthead.

Do you think we will get some really good collabs for this year's game? I am hoping Skrillex gets to play a set live!! Going to be awesome man

Why Hell Let Loose Vietnam doesn’t have console beta test

I think they have already done console testing and it is working really well, so a beta test with players doesn’t really add anything. Console is way easier to test since there only like 5 kinds compared to how many PC configurations there are.

No need for them to console beta test if it’s already good to go
