Want to have an encounter where Ziraj the Hunter barges into the Correlon's Crown injured. How was he injured?

My players have a good relationship with Fala, one of my paladins is taking lessons to learn how to make potions.

During one of their lessons I'd like to have an encounter where Ziraj barges in injured and asks Fala for help, maybe he has to hide because someone is chasing him.

Who might have hurt him or is chasing him?

I have 2 ideas currently, the Xanathar or Griffon Riders. If the Xanathar chases Ziraj my player would try to help him, they love fighting the Xanathar, if it's the Guard then my players might try to stay out of it.

Does anyone have pictures/video of the exterior/interior of the buildings by center street where the UGM used to be before they were demo'd?

I just want to know what they looked like, I don't really remember them very well and I don't know what the inside looked like.

What is this white and red spider I found dead on my front step?

I live in Oregon, it's about the size of a quarter. I've never a spider like this before.

Would someone who only speaks Common understand someone else speaking Chondathan?

I'm running a game set in Waterdeep, if I have npc's speaking Chondathan would my players characters, who only speak common and exotic languages, be able to understand Chondathan as just flowery language ie. modern English speakers listening to Shakespeare, or would Chondathan be difficult for them to follow?

What would you name this alleyway in Dock ward between Crook Street and Eel street?

I'm creating some battlemaps for my games and I like the shape of this alley. What would you call it?

I don't know why but my players are carrying around a bag of dirt with a disconnected trolls eye they buried in the dirt.

I'm the DM. I don't know why they did this. They found a coffin full of dirt in a dungeon, took a bag full of dirt because they heard something about vampires and dirt. Then they fought a troll, during the fight they plucked an eye out and after the fight they decided to plant the eye in their bag of dirt.

As a DM what do I do with this?

Longtime DM, asked to run a one-shot for the first time. What to look out for?

So for a long time I've ran a sandbox game for my group of friends and family at a local game store. This game store has asked me to prepare and run a one-shot adventure for them. I've never ran a one-shot before, all of my campaigns have been sandboxy and very long. What do I need to know to make a successful one-shot and how do they differ from regular session prep?

I am planning on building it in the same setting as my other campaign to reduce prep time but I'm still looking for advice from others who have ran successful one-shots.

Did the police start their own bike club?

I just saw 4 police motorcycles doing a traffic stop. Did they start a club or something? Why so many bikes?

I created a Expansion for the 1st Level of Undermountain. Trolltide Laboratory.

Every Dungeon should tell a story right? This dungeon was adapted from a corner of the expanded map of Ruins of Undermountain Level 1. Long ago one of Halaster's apprentices had a laboratory here. Sections of the laboratory are well maintained by living Unseen Servants while other parts of the laboratory are damaged and the experiments escaped.

I use Obsidian and DnD Beyond to run my games, some links are broken as they link to other Obsidian files and other links are to DnD Beyond statblocks.

The map was created with Incarnate.

I have 3 Paladins in my group, they know about Meloon's Xanathar problem and are about to kill him. How does Azuredge decide who their next wielder is?

So my party is level 6, they pissed off the Xanathar in Skullport and Meloon came to them offering to join them in Undermountain. He immediately lead them into an ambush and we ended the game on a cliffhanger.

Azuredge has already telepathically communicated with the paladins in my group. There are 3 paladins of good deities, how does Azuredge decide who their new wielder will be?

I want to make a sort of competition but I'm looking for ideas. Or maybe they share Azuredge?

What most likely happened to Gargauth after the events of Descent into Avernus, what is his status in 1501?

So my players are investigating the cult of Asmodeus in Waterdeep right now, they've learned about possible connections with Siamorphe and in trying to learn about Siamorphe's rivals they learned that Gargauth was a devil that had been sent to the prime material as punishment.

Looking for a player to join our DnD 5.5e game.

Hello, I'm McKenzie, I'm a DM and I recently moved my DnD game to the Treasure Trove in Keizer on Sundays and due to conflicting schedules we decided to bring our party from 5 up to 6 players.

Some background information on our game: Our adventuring group is level 6 and is called The Lonely Hearts Club. We are a trio of Paladins, a Bard and a Sorcerer who are currently exploring Waterdeep.

The group got in trouble with the Xanathar and a Intellect Devourer and ended up in Skullport. After doing a shady job for a Mindflayer they escaped Undermountain and took refuge in the Temple of the Seldarine. As far as they know the Xanathar isn't after them and they have started doing work for the temple and Laeral Silverhand the Open Lord of Waterdeep. They are investigating the Cult of Asmodeus. Laeral would like to learn the identities of noble members.

I use DnD Beyond to run the game. You don't have to use DnD Beyond to create your character, paper sheets are fine. But if you do want to use DnD Beyond I can add your character to our campaign and share my books with you. We are using 5.5e rules. If you'd like to join our table I'll invite you to our discord where I can give you instructions of character creation. Our game is in person at the Treasure Trove on Sundays at 4 but I'll ask you to come early for your first game so you can build a character and we can go over ground rules.

So Aboleths, if you were to believe them, are older than the crystal sphere and existed, even had a waterdy empire before Ao arrived.

When the gods arrived they destroyed the Aboleth empire and scattered them across the world.

Now according to most historians during the Dawn age after the gods supposedly created Aebir-Toril were the Dawn wars, wars between Primordials and God's that destroyed and reshaped the world many times.

Were the aboleth on the side of the primordials? Or was their empire just collateral damage in the war?

I have a group of paladins who may encounter an aboleth in Undermountain in the near future so the aboleth's memories of the gods will probably come up in our game.
