Calithar and it's Surroundings
This has been quite the 200 hour adventure. First of all, you can find a full-rez png file here: Google Drive Link, and a blowup of the heraldry section here: Google Drive Link.
What is this? Well a bit of a Frankenstein really... My previous map is now 6 years old and it was time for a change, specifically towards a more historically grounded basis. My reference materials were the 17th Century maps of the Bleau Workshop in Amsterdam, considered by many to be the zenith of the Golden Age of Dutch Cartography. To the extant possible, I emulated their results with a few deviations: 1) I'm using a Mollweide (invented 1805) projection, not a Mercator or a LCC which is what they would have used, 2) The heraldry in table form is something that was not done in the 17th century, although I'm sure they would have with priors.
Tools:
Wonderdraft: coastlines, mountains, hills, rivers, trees, parchment texture, borders. All vanilla assets
Inkscape (free): Lettering. Fonts: IM FELL English and French, Cormorant Garamond. These three are very period accurate.
GProjector (free): Map projection (I started with a rectilinear and then studied several options before choosing Mollweide, as it was by far the best projection for us in my 20-60 deg latitude band.
GIMP (free): All figures and drawings not done in Wonderdraft, stack and layer control, coloring. My colors are as follows: 1) Azure blue (4a6b8a), 2) Verdigris green (5b8a72), 3) Cochineal red (a83232), 4) Yellow ochre gold (b8860b), 5) Walnut black (2d1f12), 6) Plum purple (5c3a4e), 7) Malachite green (2e6f40), 8) Smalt blue (a2bdd1), 9) Umber brown (634236)
The large heraldic beasts are tracings from line art found from online sources. The man-at-arms and the compass rose are historical tracings. The draconic priestess is original concept art previously commissioned for my setting (in traced form). The cartouche design is a period reconstruction. The blazons themselves are all original.
Truth in AI: I used Claude throughout to consult on historicity and to provide feedback, and also on the Latin translation. I also used Claude and Gemini to generate some place names based on historical language grounding. No visual assets are AI generated.
Goblin Arena [50x50]
Crowds and shouts. Emotions and drama. Monsters and heroes.
Victory - or death.
Classic battlemap created for:
- prison escape - with convenient key placement, dark corners, additional corridors and two main treasure troves, that may contain both PC's items and additional loot.
- arena fights - great opportunity to introduce your party to some more... exotic or interesting monsters without unnecessary complicated reasons for the latter to be there.
Large, open arena with two upper levels for audience and convenient rocks to climb provides opportunity to escape during the show - and wreck mayhem through goblinoid-filled corridors and balconies.
More crafty players may decide to release wild beasts and monsters kept in dedicated cells - and use them as either a cover for escape or an unwilling allies.
There's a treasure room as well, and if your players want to take revenge (perhaps for an enthusiastic use of torture chamber...) - there's a passage leading towards furhter goblinoid corridors and their settlement...

The Region of Æskerweth
The region of Æskerweth is home to three nations, "holy kingdom of Callueson", "free nation of Askerun" and the "jarldom of Dyrfold". It takes place during a religious war between Callueson and Dyrfold, causing the midpoint of the region to be a hostile area.

City Stadium - 78x50 - No AI - Battlemap - RC
With the World Cup in full swing it seemed like the perfect time to release a brand new fantasy stadium battle map!
City Stadium is the first release in my new **Urban Battle Maps** series, inspired by Blood Bowl and built for tournaments, championships, festivals, or all-out fantasy blood sports.
The map has already sparked something unexpected, we've started creating an entire city and a brand new fantasy sport called Regulated Bloodrush or Reggers for short
Any usual rule suggestions for this new blood sport?
Drop your ideas below! The best ones might make it into future maps and lore.
🗺️ This map is available now on Patreon, along with **1000+ maps**, map variants, and regular new releases.

[OC] Fishmarket [22x38]
>"Onward!" The ringleader ordered, quietly but sternly. "Get to the sloop, and stay inconspicuous!"
>As they pushed into the fish market, the roads gave way from the sticky mud to an easier to traverse cobblestone. With cloaks and cart wheels caked in dirt, they pushed on.
>Suddenly, the rear cart froze. The lagging member of the entourage looked back breathlessly at a column of armored guards barreling towards him and his cart full of ill-begotten loot. He failed to notice the ringleader take up his side. Gently, he took the panicked thief's arm and whispered gently "Breathe... Look down. Focus on getting the goods to the dock."
>As the column of guards overtook them, the thieves continued to push on as if they belonged. Their mud-caked cloaks and ragged carts were a camouflage against the truth buried under only a little fabric, the precious statuettes bundled within. As quickly as they had come, the guards passed them by without even a second glance.
>The rattled thief let out a sigh of relief. "I feel faint.." he whispered. "Don't let up just yet," The ringleader replied, helping the cart along. "The sloop is in sight!"
>Then, the worst sound that ever could have fallen on their ears penetrated through the rain and city commotion. "You there... Halt! State your business!" ordered a nearby guard.
>The ringleader barely lifted his cloak for his associates to see the dagger hidden in his belt. "Be ready, and don't hesitate. Push on no matter what happens next!"
Hey all! You know the deal by now, you can check out this map and it's may variations over here!
Enjoy,
Matt

My First Map
Hey folks! This is my first map that I have made for my homebrew DnD. Could you kind people give me some feedback about it?
Thoughts on my homebrew map?
I'm super duper happy with the map. Looking for feedback on anything that feels off. Thoughts on the names of continents and bodies of water etc. If you wanna ask questions about things feel free. I've had so much fun revamping my old world map. I used Inkarnate for the map. The Adriana Ocean is larger than the map shows, just reached the canvas size limit lmao. Okay thanks xoxo
