What did I just read...

This football mania is pure insanity. What on earth is the point of this?? Are football fans that manic that they'll get offended if they see a Mexican style sandwich? Am I missing something?

Looking for a good small camera for concerts and daily life

Hi there, I'm looking for a camera that's good for concerts and low light performances primarily. Ideally one that has a good zoom for the occasions I'm not lucky enough to be upfront and centre and keeps up with the movement of an artist. I'm no professional photographer, but I do love my concerts and I love documenting them so I'd love a point and shoot that matches that need.

Budget: anything up to and around £1000, but preferably lower if possible. I know it won't be likely, but it'd be nice

Country: I'm in the UK

Condition: preferably new, but excellent condition or even refurbished could be fine

Type of Camera: My aim is point and shoot, but if something else fits my needs better please let me know! It just needs to be small enough not to get flagged by security

Intended use: main use is for concerts, distance, moving subjects. Id like it to be an every day camera too, but that's not super important

End use: personal prints and social media

If photography: energetic subjects, dance, lighting, distance (Sorry for lack of photography jargon)

If video what style: same as photography needs, but not as important. Would be lovely if the camera performed as well in video as it does in photography, though!

What features do you absolutely need: Not sure

What features would be nice to have: articulating screen and viewfinder are definitely helpful, but not a deal breaker

Portability: Small, pocketable would be great! Just small enough to be let into venues

Cameras you're considering: Sony RX100va which I've seen is good for low light, but hasn't got the zoom. Sony RX100vii which has the zoom but lacks in low light abilities (annoyingly), Cannon GX Mark ii or Mark iii as they're apparently good for low light but not sure which is better or if they're better/worse than the Sonys.

Cameras you already have: Honestly my last actual camera was a Nikon Coolpix s3300. I remembering it being pretty good at every day photography and liked how clear the images were, but I'm sure there're much better cameras now

Notes: Please let me know any cameras you think will suit me regardless of the ones I've already looked at. And if the ones I've looked at are the best options, please let me know which is the best overall and why, that'd be really helpful! I'm 100% very new to learning about photography, so I am, admittedly, quite clueless at the moment..

Thanks for reading 😊
