4 month old whippet question
So here's my situation, for the first few weeks (probably over a month) no food and drink after 6pm (pup naturally didn't want any by this point as I have food and drink down all day for him) last wee and poo (last poo is always around 8pm) outing around 9.30-10pm, night time wee anywhere between 12.30am and 2am then would be fine until I get up around 6am
Eventually I was having to pull him out of his crate in the middle of the night for a wee so I took this as a sign he was fine and it's non productive to wake a sleeping dog for a wee they aren't bothered about
Since then he's been fine going for 9.30pm ish till 5.00am ish, with his last poo being around 8ish and his last wee 9.30
Now on probably 4 or 5 occasions over the last 2 weeks iv heard him banging around in his crate, iv got up to find wee in the crate and he runs outside bursting for a poo.
It seems like his last poo at 8ish isn't late enough to get him through the night and he can't hold his wee while he's busting for a poo in his crate.
What would some advice be on how to correct this, food is still always up from 6pm, his poo routine is fairly consistent so I don't understand where this new surprise poo is coming from, is it back to getting up in the middle of the night for now?
He's obviously eating more food now at 4 months old than when he was 12 weeks old so I wonder if he's just got to get used to handling more food inside him
