Not sure where to ask, but here goes…
I recently started recording music, and today I was recording vocals and my microphone just… stopped recording? I have a Rode NT1-A, and even with the settings all the way up, it barely picks up my voice, even if I scream into it. I have it plugged into a PreSonus Audiobox USB 96, which then goes to my computer, and the 48V mode is engaged. I’ve looked at tutorials and everything, nothing will make it work. Is it my cable? My microphone just went bad? (it’s about 7 years old) re
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Edit: Bought an SM57, works now
Summary for the guy that has this problem in 15 years, close your recording software, unplug your interface, re-connect it, and them go to Settings > Devices > Microphone and set your device as default. Test it, activate and deactivate the 48V mode if it doesn’t work still.
My problem was with the interface itself. Not entirely sure what it was still, but that seemed to resolve the issue.
