Drying time polycotton lite 200gsm vs standard polycotton 285gsm
Hi all,
I’m planning to upgrade my 5 man Vango tunnel tent which I have had for 10 years. We’re a family of 4 but likely to be a family of 5 on the near future. We do approximately 5-6 mainly weekend trips in the late Spring/ Summer each year. The longest we have done is 2 weeks in France.
I’m fairly sold on polycotton, particularly after seeing two friend’s Boutique Camping star tents this weekend. Both had the poly cotton lite which seemed pretty strong. However, I can’t help but be drawn to the heavier 285gsm polycotton as I want something that we can use for as long as possible. I haven’t seen this in person though.
I’m keen to hear from anyone who has experience with polycotton how it takes to dry, particularly if they have experience with thicker polycotton. Also, is there any difference in warmth?
The difference in weight between the two is 4kg. Given that we will be car camping I’m not too fussed by this. The drying time is my main concern.
Thanks in advance.
