The Wonderfools finale and some other thoughts
Hey, guys! I just finished The Wonderfools and I need to vent to someone lol The series was a solid 9 for me. Production wise, it was amazing. Soundtrack, sound design, set pieces, practical and cgi effects, wardrobe and, especially, casting. They nailed it. The plot was predictable and they could have done way more with everything they had in hands, really, but I liked it. I was entertained enough, I mean. Anyways, all in all, it was really good and the best kdrama I’ve seen in a while.
I would like to know what were you guys’ impressions on it, but also try to figure out some things from the finale that I couldn’t understand: (SPOILERS AHEAD)
——————————————————————
1- Did Ho-ran die or not? Un-jeong says she’s still breathing and tells someone to call an ambulance, but they’re interrupted and we never see her again…
2- All of the kids were dying, so what’s gonna happen to Un-jeong? What was his collateral effect and what’s keeping him from having the same ending as the others at some point?
3- On the same note, do the collateral effects only manifest on the original kids or are the main trio in danger as well? I mean, I suppose the Eternity Child was imune to it, but his brain did die, so there are exceptions even for Chae-ni, right?
4- WHY DID EVERYBODY FORGET WHAT HAPPENED? It’s cute that Cheong remembers them and I supposed it had something to do with the headphones, but I hate to be left in the dark lol
5- I don’t see how Dr. Ha getting the injection is a treat, since, from what we saw, it would take minutes, maybe hours, for him to die again.
6- Not a question, I would just like to point out that Cha Eun-woo’s acting got better. I have never really appreciated his acting skills, but I can see the improvement here. Of course there’s room for more, but I really liked it! Props to him, I guess! Hope gets better and better at his craft.
Anyways, have a great day, everybody!
