Purchasing Prusa in Canada as a student

Hello everyone,

I've decided to get a 3D printer for my university project prototypes (it's really necessary) and choose a Prusa instead of BambuLab to support ethical business practices on sustainability and customer support. Even though it’s much more expensive than my budget allows, I am committed to going through with it, even if it means pushing back my loan payments.

A few months ago, I made a post comparing whether I should get the PC1L or the PC1+. While some of you suggested the PC1L, which I would have loved to get but can’t afford, especially considering shipping and extra fees. I decided to go with the MK4s because of their portability, especially if I end up attending an international university for my master’s.

Secondhand MK4s are rarely sold by anyone in my city, and those that are have prices that are almost identical to new ones. So, it doesn’t make sense to buy used. Canadian stores selling Prusa printers also charge higher prices than the original price on Prusa’s website, even after including shipping fees, an extra cost I can’t afford.

My question is: where can I find a good deal in Canada to support my education? I would have loved to wait for Black Friday sales at Prusa, but unfortunately, I can’t wait that long.

Thanks for reading!
