Needing to upgrade pc to handle newer titles
Hellos! Apologies for not being very confident here. I'm not used to building computers and unaware of what a lot of people would consider "good".
Ive been running off a general, 'when it breaks buy a new one' system.
Over time however, games have been climbing in requirements and now most are struggling while still at minimum settings.
Current Component List:
GPU - NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 3GB
CPU - Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-6700 CPU @ 3.40GHz
Motherboard - H110m-a/m.2
RAM - 32GB - 2x Corsair CMK32GX4M2D3000C16 Vengeance
Storage - Crucial MX500 2TB SSD - CT2000MX500SSD1
Budget:
My budget is around the £1000 -> £1200 mark, and im in the UK. So if people know good stores that would be amazing!
Use Case:
Im not looking for the best thing on the market, just something to carry me through newer games with a half decent frame rate and will last a few years.
I've asked a friend who is more literate, and he made some suggestions and put together some things, but he would confess to not being confident as well.
Suggested by him:
CPU - AMD Ryzen 7 5800X 2.8GHz 8-Core processor
GPU - MSI VENTUS 2X oc GeForce RTX 5070 12GB
Motherboard - Asus TUF Gaming B550-PLUS WIFI II ATX AM4
Keep the current RAM and Storage
I looked through the RTX 5070 and it had a lot of middling reviews.
The other GPU i found was the OC Radeon RX 9060 XT 16GB which people seamed to favour more.
Ive spent most of the day trying to do the best i can, as much research as possible. Though id still class myself as less than an amateur. So I'm here asking for suggestions, opinions and warning of things i might have missed.
Any help is amazing, many thanks :D
