Favourite volumes

Now that Volume 11 is over, I would like to know your ranking on what your favourite volumes are. I'll give you mine as well. I haven't reread the series yet and other than many others I haven't not enjoyed forgotten shore as much as the other peak arcs. So don't kill me right away, thats just my personal preference.

1️⃣1️⃣ Volume 10: Dark Lord's Dreadful Travelogue -- I'm not saying it was bad. I enjoyed every single volume, but this one almost made me stop. My top 3 most hated arcs were here. I hated Ariels Game, eternal city and Mirage city so much. Even though I loved all the interactions of the characters and Sunny being supreme and all the Sunphis stuff, I just didn't enjoy it as much and thats not even because I only want action, but you'll see that further down the line.

1️⃣0️⃣ Volume 6: All the Devils are Here -- I enjoyed most of it, but compared to the others it was idk a little more boring cuz it was mostly built up if I remember correctly.

9️⃣ Volume 3: Prince of Nothing -- Such a great character introduction of Mordret and we got to see Lord Mongrel for the first time. Moreover I think it was that volume that we saw the start of the relationship between Rain and Sunny. I also really enjoyed Sunny as a solo awakened. Moreover it includes the start of the second nightmare if I remember correctly.

8️⃣ Volume 1: Child of Shadows -- Greatest first Arc in novel history (I haven't read much, but was so cool). This is what made me enjoy it and made me continue reading. But I do have to say that I enjoyed the later novels way more. Please dont kill me for that.

7️⃣ Volume 4: Chain Breaker -- Second nightmare was so peak and had the gang fighting Saints as Awakened. I loved the start of Weaving and of course Noctis was in that Volume really present. But as you will see further down in the list, I enjoy the slice of life in between those big arcs almost more than the arcs themselves.

6️⃣ Volume 9: Throne of War -- I was debating if I even rank this higher but I would probably get executed. Sunny and Nephis finally becoming Supremes and more of Sunphis. Moreover we got Sunny vs 13 Saints which is one of my favorite fights. We got some lore drops from the shadow realm and Slayer vs Sunny. And also, even though those were my "least favorite part" of the novel, we got a lot of rain chapters and also her tuff as true name.

5️⃣ Volume 2: Demon of Change -- Forgotten shore was a really nice arc and especially the ending was crazy. I let myself get spoiled so I couldn't enjoy it as much but it was still crazy. I was even on the Cassie hate train, but we all had that short immature phase I guess. But also I was always of the opinion that there wouldn't be a better master for sunny than nephis. All in all, I enjoyed it but not as much as my top 4.

4️⃣ Volume 8: Lord of Shadows -- I was really tempted to put this on the 3rd spot. I absolutely loved this Volume. So much slice of life, Sunny with his cafe, him rebuilding his relationships with the cohort. My favourite part was of course the Sunny and Nephis interactions and that they finally became a couple. Thank god. I also loved all the Lord of Shadows aura farm moments and even though some people called it "too much" or smth, I was there for it. Moreover it had one of the best chapters in that Volume with Sunny showing Cassie his memories. All in all, even though it was not as action packed or didn't have one of the major arcs peaks in it, I really really enjoyed it.

🥉Volume 7: The Tomb of Ariel -- Ahhh I hate this one so much and I love it too. This god damn time loop on that island was really almost making me stop reading. I couldn't take it anymore. But the Mad Prince as well as the ending of that Volume with Sunny loosing his fate were just too good. Cassie having planned all that was a crazy reveal and I really didn't expect Sunny to leave them or I hoped that he wouldn't. We also got a really cool fight with Daeron vs Sunny as well as one of the tuffest quotes with "Who dares to dream about me". The start of this Volume was really slow but I enjoyed it and especially the part with Ananke (so good to have her back).

🥈Volume 5: Dread Night -- 10/10. There is nothing more to say basically. First we got to see Nephis and Sunny interactions as Masters, then mf joins the army cuz his "girlfriend" said some bs, he receives one of the coolest nicknames "Devil of Antarctica", aura farms his way through there, we have the LO49 arc in that volume which was creepy as fck and moreover we have the Fall of Falcon Scott in there which was the first real idk crazy loss for Sunny. Such a big defeat and crazy moment.

🌟🥇🌟 Volume 11: The Song of Ariadne -- Too many peaks in this Volume. I feel like I'm in the himalaya mountains or maybe rather in the Hollow Mountains. Although I must say, at the start of the Volume I was so confused and was debating to start stacking, but I couldn't. Asterion was such a terrifying and peak villain, a real threat that Nephis couldn't just nuke away. Moreover we had lore drops, Sunny regaining his fate, Sunny vs VTB, Ananke return, Cassie's Supremacy, Mordrets failed attempt to Apotheosis, Mordret becoming Supreme for the second time (off-screen), Sunny and Nephis through the nightmare desert, Mordret vs Hunger Domain and so much more. Ohhh how could I forget the goat Azarax, such a cool supreme and Cronos and Daeron upscale again. The only thing that was too rushed for me was the cohorts reaction on Sunny regaining his fate with the exception of Nephis. This 2-3k word chapter of her remembering was so beautiful and she finally showed some humanity and real love for Sunny. But I do think that this minor problem can be easily fixed with some POV chapters from their perspectives at the start of Volume 12.

All in all, this is a personal list and please excuse my english, I am not a native speaker. I am still debating to put Throne war even above Vol 2 but that would be too much maybe. I just enjoyed that Sunphis stuff too much. I hope you like the post and might give your own opinion on the ranking or just comment your own ranking.
