Might As Well Throw Myself Under the Bus
Posted this today in another sub. Thought I may as well make myself a target, too.
"As mentioned, this is a track I'm working on for someone. It's currently in mixing, so shit is all over the place.
I was allowed creative licence to transform the original, while retaining its core essence.

The process is similar to how I write my own material, with the only difference being I don't take a Suno gen and rebuild it. I start with the scratch vocal and skeleton. After that's nailed, I throw the scratch vocal into Suno for varying generations - normally cross-genre if I need clean AND harsh, then Dr. Frankenstein it in the DAW.
That's about it.
There's really nothing that interesting about how I do anything. I own two guitars, and a Nitro Pro XL that I also transport to work. Live playing layered with VSTi's. Other than that, everything is quantized or chopped to the grid. Generic music production 101.
The creative zone I love. Talking about process is painfully boring to me - but also frustrating. Because I don't use templates, my fave bass tones I've made I can't remember how the fuck I got them. Oh well, fuck it."
