How's This Possible...?

Wait. If, "Beast" comes to the Palace Door that night - and sends the "Old Beggar Woman", away. After which she transforms into an "Enchantress", and curses him and all who lived there, unless he found Love by his 21st Birthday.

AND Lemeir sings to Bella - "10 years we've been Rusting. Needing so much more than Dusting", etc.

Than, if they've been "Rusting" for ten years already, means that when "Beast" opened the door that Night, he was only a 10yr old boy.

Other than how he became "Master" at 10, isn't that a little harsh of a punishment...?

Question: Was watching an animated film from my childhood - how did we miss this?

I was watching "Beauty and the Beast" with my daughter (the animated version I grew up with) and I realized something - that Idk how was missed.

The story goes, a Master of a Castle (the Beast) had calously turned away a beggar woman, who turned out to be a beautiful magical princess in disguise. Since he only tried to be nice after she exposed how beautiful she actually was - she cursed him as the Beast (this is important) and everyone in the Castle "until his 21st birthday", if he could not find 'true' Love by that time. She also put a rose that would slowly wilt until that day - then drop it's final leaf.

Now, enters "Bella" (the Beauty). Long story short, she goes to the Castle where all the Silverware and Furniture talk and sing to her. They ALSO changed when the Master was.

During one of the songs, "Lemeir", a singing Candle, says the following, "10 years we've been Rusting, needing so much more than Dusting, etc."

Hold up. If they've been "Rusting" for 10 years - and He has to find love ❤️ before he's 21... that means that He, Beast, unless my Math is wrong (spoiler alert its not), he was 10yrs old when he answered the door that night.
