My pc keeps crashing
Hi!
At the end of last year I finally bought myself a gaming pc after years of wanting one. Up until then I played all my games on an old laptop and she was starting to get really tired of running games (and too many mods) not suitable for her, haha.
I did some research and, partly due to not having a very big budget, I decided to buy one from a seller called Omiximo.
These are the specs of the pc I bought:
Windows edition: Windows 11 Pro
Processor: AMD Ryzen 5 3400G with Radeon Vega Graphics (3.70 GHz)
Installed RAM-memory: 32,0 GB (29,9 GB available)
Graphic card: AMD Radeon(TM) RX Vega 11 Graphics (2 GB)
Storage: 236 GB of 1,82 TB used
Everything started out great and it was running pretty smoothly, until I decided to actually start playing my games. The problem started while playing Planet Zoo. It ran great for about 20 minutes when all of a sudden my screen turned black and I got the message: ‘check the video cable and video source’.
I thought that maybe something was wrong with my HDMI cable, but after changing it three times without solving the issue, I figured that wasn’t the problem.
I saw someone on Reddit say to increase the UMA Frame Buffer Size to 2 GB and that seemed to help at first, but pretty soon it started crashing again.
To clarify when I say crash, I mean that my pc keeps running (the rgb lights still work and the fan keeps turning), but the sound cuts out and my monitor goes black and I get that ‘check the video cable’ message.
I feel like I searched the entirety of Reddit and did all the Google searches I could think of, but after about 6 months I still haven’t solved this issue and it’s starting to make me really sad at this point.
Some small games don’t have any issues at all, but ones I want to play Planet Zoo, The Sims 4 (all expansion packs and several mods installed) and some other bigger games, it just crashes.
Does anybody know what the issue is and what I can do to solve it?
Thanks in advance!!
