I installed one of those adhesive shower caddies on my fiberglass shower wall and the clips holding it up eventually broke. I fully intended to replace it, but if you’ve ever dealt with these adhesives, you know they’re almost impossible to remove. So I asked my husband for help and we accidentally ended up taking a chunk of the shower wall out with it.

We’ve decided we’re done using adhesive shower accessories moving forward, but now we’re left with a hole in the fiberglass wall and I’m worried about moisture/mold since it’s inside the shower.

I asked AI for repair suggestions and it recommended a “Tub & Shower Repair Kit,” but most of the kits I’m finding seem geared toward small chips/cracks in porcelain or tile, not an actual hole in fiberglass. The reviews also don’t seem especially reassuring.

I understand it probably won’t look completely perfect, but I’d still like the repair to look decent and hold up well long term.
