Swelling vs Final Results
Hi all,
I underwent LJS + genioplasty on Tuesday night, and I can’t help but constantly imagine what my face will look like once the major swelling goes down. At the moment, I feel like I’m spiralling a bit and worrying that I won’t be happy with how I look after recovery. I’m sure this feeling is super common after surgery.
I’d really appreciate hearing about your experiences with swelling, recovery, and especially how your chin shape changed throughout the healing process.
Right now, my chin feels like it was brought forward but somehow still looks really small/button like from the side profile, which is throwing me off a bit (especially because my nose is more long and definitely isn’t a cute little button nose 🫠)
I’m hoping it’s mostly the tightness and swelling making everything look strange, and that things will settle more by week 2–3.
