I’m considering switching from my iPhone 15 Pro Max to a Pixel 10 Pro (256gb), but I’m very conflicted. I used Android for around 11 years and before moving to iPhone last year I tried several flagship Android phones including the Pixel 8 Pro, OPPO Find X6 Pro, Honor Magic 6 Pro, OnePlus 13 and S24 Ultra.

At first I missed a lot of Android features, but over time I got very comfortable with iOS. The main things keeping me on iPhone are iMessage/FaceTime with my gf and the fact that apps like WhatsApp and Instagram feel noticeably more optimized and polished on iPhone, especially for video calls and camera quality inside apps. I’m also really into smartphone photography, although the 15 Pro Max still gives me a very complete experience overall. My current iPhone is also sitting at 88% battery health, which is part of why I’ve been thinking about upgrading/changing phones.

For people who’ve switched recently, does the Pixel 10 Pro actually feel like an upgrade in daily use or more like a sidegrade with different tradeoffs?
