Am I crazy or is this not normal?
My (23M) girlfriend (21F) says she’s gonna leave the house to go to her moms or aunts house whenever she feels like I’m not listening to her or when she’s upset. I’ve gotten into just telling her ok and have fun then just doing my own thing. Yesterday we watched a movie and she said she was going to lay down after so I said that was going to play the game for a bit. She immediately got up and started packing her stuff and said she was going to spend the night at her aunts place. I just said ok have fun. When she got there she called me and said how she wanted to spend more time together today and I said I felt like we did and then the conversation turned into me being dismissive and defensive. We spent 5 hours together and went on an all day date three days ago. She doesn’t think anything is wrong with her actions but I don’t see how I can build a future with someone who walks out the door when their feelings are running high. I recently told my gf that I won’t drop what I’m doing if she guilt trips me but we can plan something ahead of time if she feels like spending more time together. We hang out for 8+ hours everyday and go on a date almost once a week. I tell her that I want more time for myself and she says it’s okay but when it’s time to take time for myself she is always getting upset.
