Guide on how to spot faulty Kryptonite Diamond Locks

I recently purchased a Kryptonite Diamond Lock off Amazon and saw it did not fully lock & suspected the known coating issue. I contacted Kryptonite about it and submitted some fotos and they simply asked for the date of manufacture which is engraved next to the keyhole in MMYY format. After sending that info over, they exchanged my lock for a new one thereby confirming my lock was faulty. It took some time but definitely worth it if you’re having doubts. Make sure to send reminders if you don’t hear back within a week.

Not going to post the date to not give away this info to potential bad actors reading this.

Here is the contact form: https://support.kryptonitelock.com/hc/en-us/requests/new

-> select “warranty/product issue” and enter the info and some fotos including the of the date stamp.

Good luck!

This is proof that an R&M Multitinker can be transported in the bicycle area of a German high-speed train (ICE) - thank you for your attention to this matter :)
