Professors using AI

Psych major here.

SNHU has a strict AI policy, which makes sense because it is a form of piracy.

Yet, some of my psych professors are grading my papers and assignments with AI. All of the feedback is AI. I am paying thousands to attend this school, and I can't even get proper feedback on how to improve because it's a robot formatting feedback based on predicted word sequencing from prompts and not true intellect or critique.

I know how chatgpt works. It easily misses errors or will only find as many as you tell it too. If the professor asks for critique about my essay, clearly outlying expectations, I'm sure it could come up with something good, but it's clear she's just copy pasting my assignment and saying "give some feedback" without clearer instructions. If you are gonna destroy the planet and use chatgpt, can you at least be good at it?

I have no idea how to improve thanks to bland AI commentary. I'm about to graduate for goodness sake. I need to improve for grad school now more than ever. 🫩🫩

I'm so done with this. If you are a professor and not properly grading you should be ashamed. Yeah it's tons of students but that's the job you signed up for. If you are a TA and doing this, you are not doing your job and you don't deserve your paycheck.

Do you guys agree? Or do you think it's okay for professors to give AI feedback and grading?

Alpha Sigma Labmda

I am going to graduate school after snhu so I am hoping to have an honor society on my resume to boost it (although I know it's not the most important thing).

Was alpha sigma Labmda honor society around last year? If it was and you got in, can I ask what your GPA was? Sorry if that is an invasive question... I am trying to figure out my chances.

Thanks guys
