Ive googled when characters like Superman and the Adamas family will enter public domain and what ive heard is that these characters will only become public domain in 2034 in the US and will come out at a later date worldwide, is this the case? And if so why didnt this happen for Characters like Winnie the Pooh and Mickey Mouse as I think they are both in the public domain internationally?

If i wanted to use the Character of Mickey Mouse (steamboat willie) i could but i wouldnt be able to expilicty use the name "Mickey mouse" right?
