Can I get by with a manual hand pump for work?
I'll be returning to work 3 days per week when bub is 9.5 months old. She is currently 6mo and EBF so I haven't had to pump yet, but I will need to when I'm back at work.
I have an old electric pump (Ardo Calypso) from a buy nothing group but it seems a bit too bulky to bring to work, so wondered if others have managed to make do with a manual pump given it will only be for about 3 months til we drop daytime feeds?
We have a wellness room at work that I can use for feeds, and can take breaks flexibly as needed. I'll also potentially have one WFH day where I could more easily use the electric pump.
Also I am looking at buying the Medela hand pump but it seems like the smallest flange is 21mm. The lactation consultant at hospital sized me as a 19mm flange. Any others in this situation/was the 21mm close enough? Or can you use generic flanges from Amazon etc with it?
Thanks!
