So I was playing against neferneru who inevitably rebelled against the Emperor. Now, I made the mistake to settle an Island where he some troops. He obviously conquered the Land immediately, vasallizing the Island.

Now this is where it gets weird:

Neferneru was wiped by the Emperor soon after. However, the aforementioned Island still seems to belong to hin in a way: hovering over it shows it as "Vasall island of [blank]", instead of his Portrait, there is a yellow Dummy saying "removed Icon". I can't land any troops and since the AI officially doesnt exist anymore, I can't declare war and conquer the island.

Is there any workaround to that?
