The Tony Robbins “3rd cousin” joke makes Bruce Robbins finally click
I was trying to figure out if Bruce Robbins was based on a real person or if Adam Ray was doing some kind of Tony Robbins parody.
From what I found, Bruce is officially one of Adam’s original characters. Netflix Is a Joke lists him separately from Adam’s real-person impressions like Dr. Phil and Biden:

But then in Adam’s own Bruce Robbins video, Bruce says he’s Tony Robbins’ 3rd cousin:

So I don’t think Bruce is meant to literally be Tony Robbins. I think he’s supposed to be this fictional Hollywood mentalist / fake guru / motivational weirdo who is intentionally Tony Robbins-adjacent.
Basically: not an impression, but the Tony Robbins DNA is definitely part of the bit.
Did everyone else already catch the Tony Robbins connection, or am I giving Adam Ray too much credit here?
