Google is replacing search with an AI bot. What will it tell you?
In the past folks could get things taken down from Google via DMCA complaint or other means, sure. But if you wanted to search for sites related to your conspiracy of choice, you were free to do so. There is already some algorithmic gaming going on (based on who pays, and perhaps politically 'sensitive' topics) but now there will just be a bot, no more links.
Information will be distilled for you, shaped and twisted by advertisers and who ever else is at the controls.
