Reupload: Guard unit ranking [by vibes/looks only], now featuring pixels!

Apologies for the reupload, it doesn't look like Reddit will let me update the image on the previous attempt. So new post it is.

This is a followup to my earlier post here: https://www.reddit.com/r/TheAstraMilitarum/s/sDT1vaKis5

I have made a ranking of all the Guard units purely based on my vibes/looks. What units I like are good or bad? Are there any units I don't like that I'll probably want to bring? What's a good list that is biased towards the units I like?

S: Baneblade; Rogal Dorn; Hippogriff AFV; Valkyre; Hydra; Cadian Castellan; Kasrkin;

A: Leman Russ; Commisar Graves; Sentinel; Centaur RSV; Basilisk; Deathstrike; Field Ordnance Battery; Commisar Yarrick; Techpriest Enginseer; Lord Solar Leontus; Manticore; Krieg Infantry; Cadian Shock Troops; Gaunts Ghosts; Krieg Combat Engineers; Krieg Heavy Weapons Squad; Krieg Command Squad; AttilanRoughRiders;

B: Chimera; Tempestus Aquilons; Sly Marbo; Primaris Psyker; Commisar; Tempestus Scions; Bullgryns; Cadian Command Squad; Ministorum Priest; Ciaphas Cain; Catachan Command Squad;

C: Lord Castellan Ursula Creed; Hellhound; Krieg Artillery Team;

D: Taurox Prime; Cadian Heavy Weapons Team; Tempestus Scions Command Squad; Nork Deddog; Lord Marshal Dreir; Ratlings; Krieg Death Riders; Wyvern; Catachan Heavy Weapons; Ogryns; Catachan Jungle Fighters; Taurox;

Rough outline of what each rank means: S means I REALLY want this in my army. A means I'm happy to put this in my army if it makes sense. B means I'll put this in my army if I need it. C means I don't want to put this in my army. D means I really don't like the model and will not spend money on it.

Also, apologies for the resolution on the image, I had to take a screenshot to reduce the size (original is 33mb, above Reddit's limit of 20)

How does it FEEL to play Astra Militarum?

Hi! I'm looking to get my first 40k army, and right now I'm trying to decide between Tau and Astra Militarum (and maybe a few others). I have some questions. The main one being:

How does it FEEL to play mechanized imperial guard? What makes you excited? Angry? Annoyed? Do you enjoy blasting your foes with sheer firepower? What is your favorite part of playing these guys? Worst?

Give me a basic overview of the militarum rules and gameplan. Specifically interested in tank/vehicle gameplay. From what I've gathered, it's big guns in the back and screening with cheap gaurdsmen in the front?

How does the shooting stack up against Tau, and other notable shooting factions? How durable are the tanks?

I enjoy playing with tanks, gunships, big guns, blasting my opponent, and combined arms. Militarum seems to fit that, do you agree?

How good is the Militarum starter set? Looks like there are two, combat patrol and battleforce. The battleforce looks a lot more mechanized than the combat patrol. How much have Militarum rules and identity changed over the last few editions? I see 11th Edition is new, should I wait for new things to come out before getting an army? How new are the models?

Extra context about me: I've played about 10 or 15 of games of Age of Sigmar, but no 40k. I have a Lumineth army. Things I've learned from that: I don't like painting a lot of models. I don't like painting faces. Positioning and mobility is very important. And don't pick factions based on their exact rules because they will change and make me sad :(
