How to make Passport Police Verification Happen Early?

I have a Tatkal Passport Appointment scheduled for next week. I am leaving 7 days later for another city. Is there a way to make the police verification happen early?

I have some time sensitive work in another city and really need to go.

Anyone tried building polymarket strategies?

I have been thinking of building a polymarket market making bot.

Did some basic analysis, got the order book, built a very simple market maker and obviously its very bad.

Would be cool to talk to someone with some experience

How to make new friends in Bangalore?

My college friends are very boring. All they do is drink and play FIFA. Looking to get to know some interesting people.

Since people are asking, here's stuff I like: learning to play guitar these days, would love to learn to paint or draw, or discuss random stuff or talk about music and movies

Moving from BLR to Mumbai (Worli). Need a reality check on Quality of Life and where to live.

Hey guys,

I’m currently based in Bangalore but I have a solid job offer from a firm located in Worli. The compensation is good enough to make the jump, but I’m trying to get a realistic picture of what my life will look like if I move.

Two main questions:

1. Quality of Life:

Everyone knows the stereotypes (BLR traffic/weather vs Mumbai spirit/vibe). But for someone working a demanding corporate job, how does the day-to-day quality of life actually compare?

Will I spend less time fighting with cabs and autos?

Is the tradeoff of living in a tiny, expensive matchbox apartment worth it?

Should I just stay in Bangalore and enjoy the bigger houses and better weather?

2. Where to rent near Worli?

My office will be in Worli (specifically near S.K. Ahire Marg). I know Worli itself is insanely expensive and mostly out of the question for renting a decent place.

Where is the best place to live that balances rent costs with an easy, low-stress commute?

I’ve heard autos aren't allowed in South Bombay. Since I don't want to burn a hole in my pocket taking Ubers every day, which residential areas connect well to Worli via the Metro or good bus routes?

The budget for rent is around 35k. I prioritize a short commute and access to good gyms/groceries over a "happening" nightlife.

Thanks!

Looking to emigrate: but confused about parents

Hey guys, I am not an NRI, but looking to emigrate to Europe or US/Canada.

I hold a degree from a prestigious Indian University and work at a Fancy Finance job, so getting a job internationally for me should be the easiest part. (I can get a Masters abroad in worst case). And in the long term, I would love to settle in some western country.

Problem is, I have my mother here, and want to bring her over to live with me. But after far as I know, most countries make it virtually impossible to bring over parents, unless they are totally dependent on you.

From what I checked, Canada and Germany make it sort of easy, but given my job profile, I was really shooting for London, Amsterdam or NYC (I know US is out of the question, given their Visa laws).

So, want to know if anyone has dealt with such a situation before? Let me know what to do.
