I'd rather ask a stupid question than assume and be wrong

Oftentimes, I see people judging people for asking 'stupid questions', but I think it's a good habit to have. I know it can be annoying if someone asks these questions all of the time, but I think It's better than the alternatives. For example, doing something incorrectly and causing problems because they assumed they knew how to do it. Or spreading a harmful rumour because they saw or heard something and made an assumption.
