I've searched the posts and Haven't come up with an answer
2016 C7 Corvette LT2 package - 27k miles.
I've got a distinct metallic rattle that comes from the drivers side engine bay (or at least sounds like that while driving) when the engine switches from v4 to v8 under slight acceleration. I've replaced the tensioner pulley as it was leaking. But the noise persists. It doesn't sound like lifter failure during regular idle. It's quiet as a mouse when in v4 mode. But the moment it switches over to V8 there is a very distinct metallic rattle that is constant during the acceleration. The odd thing is, it's loud at first but does quiet down a bit after the switch in engine modes but is still noticeable. Yes, after this is repaired I will be installing the Range AFM delete module. But for now i'd like to figure it out. The other options i've understood is Torque Tube front bearings (I really hope this isn't the issue), A heat shield rattling loose, AFT Exhaust valve, or worst case lifter issues.
Any help from this community would be greatly appreciated.
