My Argument for the C8 Z06 over the C8 ZR1/ZR1x

Before I even start I actually own a C8 Z06 and I don't own a ZR1 or ZR1x, so I guess that makes me partial. Anyways, here you go:

  1. The C8 Z06 is the most powerful production N/A V8 engine and there is no reason to believe this will ever change in the future.

  2. This one is highly subjective but the Z06 has the nicest exhaust note out of the entire C8 line of cars.

  3. The C8 Z06 is much more practical for daily use simply because it has a front storage compartment. Yes, the rear trunk has a decent enough size but you have to take care not to put your ice cream from the grocery store back there because you may find it liquid by the time you get it home.

  4. The price. This point wouldn't be so much of a sticking point if you could actually get the ZR1x or even the ZR1 for MSRP. You can't, but you sure can get the Z06 for a good bit under MSRP.

  5. I'm sure I missed a good point so I will leave number 5 for you guys in the comments.

Road Trip

I recently went on a road trip to Monterey and Laguna Seca and wanted to share some photos of what I would consider a bucket list experience. This car is amazing. Just passed over 96,000 miles and no major issues. Shout out to the people that actually use the slow vehicle turnouts on Highway 1.

A family C2

My dad hit 80 last year and has had this C2 collecting dust in his garage for a couple decades. He signed it over to me and I’ve been slowly restoring and upgrading it for safety.

C7 ZR1 or C8 Z06

I'm looking between the C7 ZR1 and the C8 Z06 but I'm having some troubles choosing, I want to mod it all out and murder it practically for fun and for purposes of which car meets and I have been dreaming about these 2 for years but I can't choose now that I got the funds for it too... Any help?

Recent college graduate needing advice on pricing a 2004 C5 before I leave to NYC from TN.

As title states, I'm a recent college graduate leaving for NYC from Memphis. I'm looking to sell my corvette before I leave and am looking for some advice on pricing / selling. I have a cash offer from KBB and Carmax for 8.5k but I obviously feel like this is a bit low. I owe 4.7k left but this will be covered later this week so I can have a clean title. It'll have under 95k miles by the time l leave and is currently at 93,955 miles. It's a 2004 Black on Black C5 Corvette with an automatic transmission at basically 94k miles and has been my daily for 3 years now. Has never left the Memphis area according to the Carfax. The only physical problems seem to be the A/C is out but air still will blow, needs new weatherstrips for the front (expensive I know), and the driver side seat has some wear on it. New battery has been installed and relatively new Corvette C5 Flags floor mats (bought 5 months ago.) I would also include a new left tire and a car cover. I haven't added any upgrades so it's pretty much completely stock. What would be an appropriate price to list at or bottom line as a base take?

C5 Differential and Transmission Rebuild

I've got an FBO 2002 c5 base with a differential whine problem diagnosed by my mechanic. He's recommended essentially a full diff/trans rebuild (as they're one whole assembly usually), and recommended I ship it out to a facility in Texas as he can replace it but doesn't do rebuilds. My guy has good pricing and keeps it pretty real about what's going on, but I'm wondering if there would be any better options price-wise or if I should bite the bullet and get it done. Car's pushing about 400whp and has about 93k miles on it as well

The weekly harmonic balancer post

Hey fellas sorry to throw another one of these videos out but I noticed a bit of wobble on my 03’ with 50k miles and wanted to get some of your thoughts. This car is my daily and I was planning a 6 hour round trip for work and now I’m considering taking my motorcycle instead. I know that it eventually needs replaced (I’ll do a cam with it) and I did the sharpie test and it didn’t move yet. But I’m not sure if she is road worthy for the longer trip. This is my only symptom as well car runs great and there is no squeal or anything. Thanks all

3k mile C4 Barn find

My grandpas lawyer special ordered this 1987 L98 with the Z52 handling package and Doug Nash transmission. He brought it in at 3k miles for an oil change and unfortunately passed away. No one ever came to pickup the car so it’s been up on that lift since 1988. It’s nothing insanely special but I have someone who will take it as is for 15k. I kind of wanted to fix it and keep it for myself but I’m torn because I will probably put more into restoring it than it’s worth. What would you do?

this is my first post fyi

Should I buy a 1988 corvette

My friends selling his convertible for 5k, 140k miles. Says it drives fine.

It would be nice to have a fun summer car. Is it worth it?

Im a normie about cars so will it just be repairs constantly?
