1999 C5, 39k miles. Second oil change after BTR cam, 2k miles later. Good oil pressure, no knocking but this concerns me. What do yall think? Obviously it isn’t good but hoping for people who have cammed their LS to give me some feedback. Only 40k miles on the LS1
That one bolt that’s deeper had backed out while driving bc i’m unable to get sufficient torque on it. Only an open end wrench fits, and cannot get a clean grip, bolt will round off if i continue wrenching at an angle.
Anyone have experience tightening these? Was thinking swivel on a crows foot, but it would have to be an extended crows foot probably
1999 C5. Need help with this adjuster for the parking brake. Adjustment was going well and I put the rotor + wheel on to try to see if I can rotate with the parking brake up.
I put a lot of force into it, at first it was not moving then all of a sudden it started moving, so I think i must have broke something, because now the adjuster is seized and i can’t rotate it anymore. Now my parking brake doesn’t work at all when the at first it just only was effective when pulled allll the way up.
Please let me know if i need to buy a new adjuster thing or what the next best court of action is, 🙏
This is the MOOG replacement since the stock plastic ones were trashed. In this photo it doesn’t look that bad but on the other side they are pretty much touching.
** Car is in the air on jack stands, will it have more clearance at ride height? In the middle of cam swap so can’t drop the car yet
