Can't find a good place to fit in this stupid case

I got an LCD screen for my pc(it's actually an old phone)

But can't seem to find a good place to attach this in my PC without the wire getting in the way or without looking ugly

Can anybody give me an advise where I can fit this LCD screen?

Thoughts on this build? (Read description)

https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/list/yKrrDw

Putting these parts together from bundles I’ve found online just wondering what your thoughts are on this build as a whole the actual total price is $2754 Canadian before tax

Note I have a 2tb ssd already
And I know the cooler is expensive but I found a good deal where it’s more like $100 and I like the aesthetic

My first PC build

TL;DR

Here’s my parts: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/HGd9rG

————-————-————-————-————-———————

A bit of context first:

I’m looking at building my first PC - yes, I know its an awful time but I really need it. Currently on a pentium n3700 and 4GB RAM (my tablet can run games like dead cells far better).

I now have an opportunity to build a new pc and I have a pretty good budget. I especially need a new PC for both uni (close enough to live at home), gaming and to handle literally anything I throw at it, including programming, other graphics tasks and non-gaming software etc.

—————————-———————————————

So here’s the build in detail (exact components on pcpartpicker above with no commentary):

CPU: Ryzen 7 9800X3D
- This I’m still not sure about, a 9900X is actually cheaper by €60 and almost exactly the same price as a 7800X3D.
- There’s also the intel Core Ultra 7 270K Plus, which is €80 cheaper than the 9800X3D, but I’m not sure, from what I’ve seen intel is quite bad for upgradability (they keep making new CPU sockets)
- I’m still unsure because the 9800X3D is the best at gaming, the core ultra is best in both single threaded and multithreaded performance, while the 9900X is kind of in the middle for both but also has the upgradability of AM5.

GPU: Sapphire Pulse Gigabyte Radeon RX 9070XT 16GB
- Hard choice at first, then I eventually decided on this one as the 5070ti is not worth an extra €250, and this GPU pairs well with my CPU. It should be able to handle any games in 1440p, and even workstation tasks as AMD’s technology, software and software support has gotten a lot better,

RAM: 32GB (2x16GB) DDR5 CL30 6000MHz
- Now I could get €50 cheaper RAM, but I could squeeze this into my budget for that sweet spot latency and bandwidth to make sure things are as stable and fast as possible. Some might argue that this doesn’t make too much of a difference, so if it is a really silly decision please do tell me.

MOBO: MSI PRO X870E-P WIFI
- A B850 motherboard seems to be about €80-100 cheaper, but this isn’t too much extra for making sure I get lots of nvme lanes to add more storage in the future, and to be able to learn how to overclock (again, please do tell me if I’m being delusional here).

SSD: Crucial P510 1TB PCIe Gen5 NVMe 2280 M.2 SSD with heatsink
- 1TB is a sweet spot for me as it isn’t insanely expensive, but also gives plenty of space unless I get a million AAA games but I can always upgrade, especially if prices eventually drop.
- All SSD storage drives are expensive, this one is only about €20 more expensive than the cheapest PCIe 4.0/5.0 NVMe I could find, and it seems to have a long lifetime and great speeds compared to cheaper drives.

CASE: Lian Li Lancool 217 Black
- This appears to have some of the best airflow/performance for a PC case, main issue is no RGB but that’s very subjective. If anyone knows of a similar case, not more expensive, that has RGB and is of similar or better quality/airflow, please do tell me.

PSU: ADATA XPG CORE REACTOR II VE 850W
- Not much to say, 850 is probably enough for now and for the next CPU/GPU upgrade, and this one scores A on this tier list: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/u/0/d/1akCHL7Vhzk_EhrpIGkz8zTEvYfLDcaSpZRB6Xt6JWkc/htmlview#gid=1078495601.

COOLER: Thermalright Peerless Assassin 120 SE
- Apparently a high quality, inexpensive air cooler, an AIO might be preferable if I do get an RGB case, the cheaper ones seem to be €20-30 more expensive than this air cooler.

——————————————————————————————

This is at the upper limit of the budget of my build, after leaving some of the budget for peripherals as they also need an upgrade.

As the title says, this is my first build, so please do tell me if anything could be improved or is wrong, I will take any suggestions, thanks.

EDIT: The most obvious issue was overspending on the motherboard, I think I will find a good B850 one instead, thanks yall.

Upgrading from Ryzen 7 5700 on AM4 Platform

I am about to move my PC to new case and AIO, so I would like to upgrade my CPU (5700) at the same time. I believe the 16mb of l3 cache and PCIE 3.0 limit are having an impact on gaming performance. I would love to move to AM5, but I don't want to buy a new motherboard and DDR 5 RAM right now, so I am instead going to focus on getting the most out of AM4 for the next few years.

I have researched the best AM4 processors, and I am between the 5800xt ($200) and 5900xt ($260). I would love to find a 5700x3d or 5800x3d, but they have been ridiculously hard to find and expensive ($400+ used).

I primarily use the PC for gaming, but it is also our primary home computer so I could have other use cases for it in the future. I could see myself repurposing this PC into a SFF mixed-use build when I eventually move to next generation platform for gaming.

Wha would you do?

 CPU: Ryzen 7 5700

Motherboard: ASRock B550 mATX

RAM: 32GB DDR4 3200MHz

GPU: Geforce RTX 5070

Storage: 2x 1 TB Gen 4 NVME

Case(new): Montech King 15 Pro mATX

CPU Cooler: AIO (TBD)

Looking to upgrade budget £800 approx.

Hi I have been out of the pc realm for a while and I don’t know what’s considered good these days and what will be more future proof.

Some more information this will mainly used for gaming and general web browsing but games wise I’m not playing anything super graphics intense (general stick to ps5 for that stuff as I like the couch controller set up) so games would be more like wow, lol, maybe a few survival games or pubg like shooters.

The current pc I have I bought 2nd off a friend and has a 1050 or 1080ti in it but also has other issues like disk usage so just starting fresh.

Honestly would prefer a prebuilt if the pricing or quality is minimal as I could do without the stress of building (have had a long home diy stretch that has thrown curve balls)

I have attached one prebuilt that I have found but unsure if it is decent for what they offer.

Oh and UK if the £££ didn’t give it away

Thanks!

GPU unplugging question

Hello everyone, so yesterday I installed a cpu cooler but I want to rotate it 180 degrees so it will not touch my GPU. But now there is so little space between a GPU and a cooler that I can’t even unplug GPU power cable. I have a modular PSU so I want to ask you if it is safe to leave power cable plugged into a GPU but unplug it from a PSU and then unplug GPU from PCIe slot?

Upgrade suggestions

Last year my ex gave me his old PC when he upgraded to a new one. It still runs okay for the most part, but I’m noticing a slight decrease in performance for some games. I figured with the components being six years old it may be time for an upgrade, but I don’t really know much about this stuff. Any suggestions would be appreciated!

Need opinions on my first High-End 3D/Gaming PC Build

Hey everyone, this is my first post here and I’d love to get your opinion on this build. I have a basic understanding of how computers work, but I’m definitely still an amateur, so I used AI to help put together a build that shouldn’t have compatibility issues or bottlenecks.

My goal with this PC is to work with 3D rendering and video editing, while also being able to play games at high settings for many years to come, ideally something that’ll last close to the next decade if possible.

So if you could take a look at the configuration and point out any mistakes, incompatibilities, or improvements, I’d really appreciate it. Thanks a lot for your time!

  1. Processor (CPU)
  • Intel Core Ultra 9 285K (Arrow Lake)
  1. Motherboard
  • MSI MAG Z890 Tomahawk WiFi
  1. System Memory (RAM)
  • Corsair Vengeance Black 96GB (2x48GB) DDR5 6400MHz
  • Part Number: CMK96GX5M2B6400C32
  1. Graphics Card (GPU)
  • Zotac Gaming GeForce RTX 5080 Solid Core OC 16GB GDDR7
  1. Primary Storage (PCIe 5.0 for Future-Proofing / Cache Workloads)
  • Crucial T700 2TB PCIe Gen5 NVMe M.2 SSD
  • Alternative: Crucial T705 2TB ---------------------------------------(Interestingly, I asked ChatGPT for a second opinion and it mentioned that going with a Gen 5 SSD might cost significantly more for only a small real-world performance gain. Instead, it recommended a Samsung 990 Pro 4TB. Does that make sense?)
  1. Secondary Storage (Mass Storage)
  • WD Black SN850X 2TB M.2 NVMe PCIe Gen4 SSD (No Heatsink)
  1. CPU Liquid Cooler
  • Arctic Liquid Freezer III 360 (or III 360 A-RGB)
  1. Power Supply (PSU)
  • Antec HCG 1200 Pro Platinum 1200W Fully Modular ATX 3.1 PSU
  1. PC Case

APNX Creator C1 ChromaFlair Mid Tower Case

  1. Some extra fans

I’m planning to buy the parts separately and hire a professional in my area to assemble the PC for me, so I’m not in a rush. I’ll be keeping an eye out for sales and discounts whenever possible.

So if you guys want to roast my build, that would honestly help a lot. Thanks!

Which pc should i install each MOBO

I got some pcs to flip and my problem is i got a B450 tomahawk max and a b550m prime CSM, lets say pc 1 is the one with better specs and pc 2 with weaker ones, pc 1 is going with a Corsair 3500X case so I was thinking of going with the tomahawk max because it’s ATX and one the best b450 ever created, and the b550m on the second one, but I don’t think someone buying a pc will look at the construction quality itself of the mobo, they’ll look at the numbers, so maybe I switch the b550m to the pc 1 and the b450 to pc 2, what do you think?

Thinking about upgrades. Help me decide please.

Hey everyone, this post might be a bit longer.

At the beginning of this year, I built my first gaming PC in 12 years and went with a more budget-conscious setup.

CPU: 7500X3D
GPU: RTX 5070 Gaming Trio
MOBO: B850M Aorus ICE
RAM: Patriot Viper 32gb 6000 CL30
SSD: Lexar NM790 2TB
PSU: be quiet! Pure Power 13M 750W
AIO: be quiet! Silent Loop 3 240mm
Case: NZXT H3

I was really tempted to go all in on an RTX 5080 and jump straight into 4K gaming, but after many years of mainly playing on console, I wasn’t sure if spending that much money right away was the smartest move.

So instead, I went with a 1440p setup and bought a Gigabyte G27Q2 monitor, which I’m actually very happy with. Since I work as a software engineer, it also became my main monitor for work.

At first, though, I honestly didn’t enjoy PC gaming that much. I even traded my old PS5 for a PS5 Pro because I thought maybe console gaming was still more “my thing.” But after some time, something just clicked, and now my PC has completely become my main gaming rig.

It’s been a while since then, and naturally the thoughts about 4K gaming came back. The thing is: I’m genuinely super happy with my current setup. In 1440p, everything I play runs great and feels smooth.

So now I’m wondering:
Is it even worth thinking about upgrading for 4K at this point? Or would it make more sense to stay at 1440p and maybe invest in a really good second monitor instead maybe an OLED 1440p display?

Curious to hear what you guys think.

Help me upgrade and improve my PC on a cheap budget

CPU

AMD Ryzen 3 3200G, Picasso 12nm Technology

RAM

16.0GB Dual-Channel DDR4 @ 1330MHz (20-19-19-43)

Motherboard

HP 8643 (AM4)

Graphics

HP 24f (1920x1080@75Hz)

2048MB ATI AMD Radeon Vega 8 Graphics (HP)

Storage

223GB GIGABYTE GP-GSTFS31240GNTD (SATA (SSD)) 33 °C

I always had trouble with game performance and storage size. Even after deleting everything, with nothing on my disk, 100GB is always occupied by windows or something.

I used to have 4GB ram, upgraded it to 16GB right before the prices exploded.

For some reason, around 60% of my ram is always used, while I'm just running edge with 3-5 tabs. 8.1GB (447mb) In use (compressed), 5.8GB available, 10.5/19.9GB committed, 3.9GB cached, 680MB paged pool, 710MB non paged pool, hardware reserved 2.1gb

Budget: 300$

Is it normal or safe for a motherboard to bend like this?

This is my first ITX build, and I never noticed any motherboard bending on my previous ATX builds. What worries me is that the components in this specific build are probably the heaviest you can get right now, and ITX boards are only held up by 4 screws compared to ATX ones.

Case: NCASE M3

Motherboard: ROG Strix B850-I Gaming WiFi

GPU: Sapphire Nitro+ AMD Radeon RX 9070 XT

CPU Cooler: NH-D15 G2 chromax.black

Will it work?

Thank u all for helping me with my little stuck cpu dilemma earlier. Now I’m wondering if I can connect this Corsair icue link cooler hub controller thing (white square) to this free pcie port that’s connected to the same chord that’s powering the gpu. What do u guys think? I think they call it daisy chaining? Idk this is a prebuilt pc btw.
