GPU won't turn on. One of the lamp indicator turned red.

Hello, I recently got an ASUS Prime 9070 XT. I asked a local technician to help me install the new GPU for me but apparently my GPU can't be turned on. I already asked them to reseat the GPU, double-check the cable placement, and check whether the PSU or any of the cables is faulty, but everything is working properly except the GPU. They already checked the build using my old GPU, and it's working properly.

This is my current build:

  • Motherboard: Gigabyte B760M DS3H LGA1700
  • RAM: Kingston Fury Beast 32 GB DDR5
  • Processor: Intel i7-12700F
  • GPU: Galax Nvidia 4060 8 GB -> ASUS Prime Radeon 9070 XT 16 GB
  • PSU: Enermax Revolution D.F-12 850W

On the motherboard, one of the lamp indicators for the VGA turned red. According to the technician, it's either because the Motherboard is not strong enough to handle a high-end GPU or because of a faulty GPU. So is this motherboard not strong enough a plausible problem? Or is it caused by something else? Any suggestions on what else I can do to fix this problem?

Is there any way I can test a new GPU without the case?

So I got a new ASUS PRIME 9070 XT 3 fan. I am also planning to change my PC case to a smaller one to Deepcool CH160 Plus. I already looked up the GPU size and the CH160 Plus case compability and there's no problem.

So my initial plan is to buy the new GPU first, test the GPU. If the GPU is working properly, then I can buy the new case and move all the parts in the new case.

However I made a mistake. Since my old case is bigger than Deepcool CH160, I made a dumb mistake thinking the GPU will definitely fit my old case.

Now I got the GPU but no way to test them. I already went to some local PC stores and asked them if they can help me test it but they dont have any PC that can fit my GPU. Is there any way I can test this new GPU other than buying the new case?

Between Gigabyte Gaming OC VS Powercolor Reaper

Hello I am thinking of buying a Radeon 9070 16 GB. After looking around, the only model available in my country are Gigabyte Gaming OC and Powercolor Reaper. Now I looked up how both model perform and it seems like both models have mixed reviews.

Both models are in my budget. But I am still doubtful if I should get them or not. Or I can pick an ASUS Prime 9070 XT. While its a bit over my budget, I am not in a rush upgrading and can wait a bit but I am afraid the price will go up soon.

What do you think is my best move here?

Help me pick which GPU is the best

Planning to upgrade my GPU to 5060 Ti 16 GB. I asked my local stores and end up with 3 options.

  1. Palit Inifinity 3 OC for around $600

  2. Gigabyte Gaming OC for around $700

  3. Gainward Phyton for around $700

Which one do you think is the best pick? And are these good price or should I negotiate the price?

Using the QWERTY keyboard how do you type words that have ü (u with 2 dots on top)?

Just like the title, using the qwerty keyboards, how do you write words that have ü pinyin like 绿色, 女人, 旅游?

I can't type these words with my keyboard. Typing them normally, like lu se, nu ren, or lu you, doesn't show these words.

Has anyone here ever bought something from his sponsored video?

I was watching one of Pyro's videos. When the sponsorship segment came on, it was obvious he didn't give a single shit about the product he was being paid to promote. It got me wondering, has anyone here ever actually bought something he shilled just because Pyro himself was the one promoting it? If yes, what is it, and did you regret it?

ChineseSRS or Super Chinese

Hello, I have been learning Mandarin for a few months now (HSK 2-3). I use the SuperChinese app as my main study material alongside personal study and practice.

Recently, I found this website called ChineseSRS. From what I see so far, it seems more comprehensive and has some grammar that is not covered in SuperChinese. For anyone who uses this website, what is the experience of using ChineseSRS? And is it better than using SuperChinese?

[FAMILY BUSINESS] What do you do when one of your most trusted employee started stealing items behind your back?

My father owns a retail store. I worked there for around two years, mostly as a general supervisor. We have another guy in the same position. He is my father's right-hand man and had already worked there for almost ten years before I even started getting involved in the family business. My father used to always say that he was a great and reliable employee.

However, around last year, after he got married, his behavior started to change. He began coming in later than usual, taking multiple days off work, hiding in the warehouse to slack off, and leaving before closing time. Whenever we asked him about it, the reason was always something related to the baby. He's not the only employee with children. Many of our employees also have babies, but they don't take nearly as much time off as he does.

We overlooked these issues at first, but he eventually started creating bigger problems. We discovered several unlisted invoices. Apparently, he had been secretly selling some of our products and having customers send payment directly to his personal account. It started small, but the amount kept growing over time.

At the beginning of this year, he opened his own store. He claimed it was a grocery store managed by his wife and that he would not sell the same products as our store. However, some of our customers later told us that his store was selling the same items as ours, and that they had even purchased some there. He also used some of our suppliers to stock his store.

For now, I've started checking invoices more frequently and hired additional personnel to monitor inventory. The whole family agreed that this guy should be fired because he had clearly crossed the line, but my father disagreed. He believes the business can't continue without him.

I hate to admit it, but that may be partly true. Since he has worked there far longer than I have, he knows much more about the store's operations and the products we sell. He is also very well known among our customers, who often seek him out to inquire about certain products or to make purchases.

Our biggest concern is that if he quits or gets fired, he will likely start directing our customers to his own store instead.

Is faulty Mobo sell able or should I just throw it away?

My office PC keeps freezing, and the PC technician said it might be because of a faulty Motherboard. So I bought a new H81 motherboard, but one of the pins sank down. The repair cost for fixing the motherboard is almost similar to buying a new one. So I bought another board instead and fixed the problem. But now I am stuck with this faulty one.

If possible, I would like to sell it so I can get some money back. Is a faulty motherboard sellable, or should I just throw it away? If sellable, how much should I charge from the original price?

I know this is a dumb question, but I am not a tech-savvy guy and don't really know much about PC parts.

Terima kasih
