Does this look okay for my 5070?
Hi,
I would like to check if the length of the cable is acceptable before it bends? I’m using the native PSU cable from my RM750E Corsair PSU rather than the included adapter that came with my 5070.
Thank you.

Hi,
I recently bought a 32GB Patriot Viper Steel DDR4 kit (2×16GB) from Overclockers UK. I installed it alongside a new Ryzen 7 5700X on my B550 motherboard.
The problem is that one of the RAM sticks works perfectly, but the other one will not POST at all.
What I’ve tested:
- One stick in A2 → boots into BIOS and is correctly detected as 16GB
- The other stick by itself in A2 → no POST
- Tried the other stick in B2 as well → no POST
- Cleared CMOS
- BIOS is running at default settings, with DDR voltage showing 1.200V
- XMP is available but I have not enabled it
- The CPU is correctly recognised when using the working stick
- I also tested the RAM in my partner’s PC
- The exact same stick fails to boot in their PC as well
- The other stick from the kit works
With the faulty stick installed, the motherboard’s CPU debug LED comes on rather than the DRAM LED, which initially confused me.
At this point I’m pretty confident the individual RAM stick is faulty, but I just wanted to ask if there’s anything else I should test before contacting Overclockers UK for an RMA/replacement.
Thanks.
Hi,
I’m currently around day 7/8 after having a lower molar extracted and wanted to get some opinions.
I’ve had a constant dull ache around the extraction site. It isn’t severe and doesn’t feel like the intense pain I’ve heard people describe with dry socket, but the area feels quite stretched/tight, and the aching seems to get worse as the day goes on.
I’ve noticed some redness along the side of the extraction area, which you can see in the photo.
Does this look like normal healing for day 7/8? Is the redness and dull aching something you experienced at this stage?
I’m mainly wondering whether I should just continue letting it heal or get the extraction site checked by my dentist.
Thanks!
Hi everyone, I’m planning to upgrade both my PC and my partner’s PC this month. The order will include two GPUs and two CPUs, along with some other components, so I’ll be spending quite a bit in one order.
I’m currently deciding between Overclockers and Scan, but I’m a little hesitant about placing such a large order with either of them without hearing other people’s experiences first.
Has anyone here bought expensive PC components from either company? How was your experience, particularly with delivery, faulty items, returns and refunds?
I’d also be interested in recommendations for better alternatives in the UK.
I’d prefer not to use Amazon, as I’ve had poor experiences with their returns process in the past.
Thanks!
Hi guys,
I’m unsure which route to take and would appreciate some advice.
Current build:
GPU: RTX 5060 8GB
CPU: Ryzen 5 5500
RAM: 16GB DDR4
I only have the budget to do one of these options:
Option 1: Stay AM4
RTX 5070 12GB
Ryzen 7 5800X3D
32GB DDR4
Option 2: Move to AM5
Keep RTX 5060 for now
Ryzen 5 7500X3D / Ryzen 7 7800X3D
32GB DDR5
Would you prioritise the stronger GPU + 5800X3D now, or move to AM5 and upgrade the GPU later?
Thanks.

Hi all,
I have an RTX 5060 8GB and Ryzen 5 5500. I can play most games at 120fps 1440p but I’d like to be able to play with ultra settings. Fortnite in particular struggles on this setup when using lumen (staying at 120fps 1440p)
My question is, what should I upgrade my GPU/CPU to in order to see bigger gains if staying on AM4?
I was thinking a Ryzen 7 5800X3D and RTX 5070 12GB (I have 32GB ddr4 ram), if you have a better combo for 1440p gaming at very high/ultra settings please let me know
Thanks
Hi, does anyone here have a lower free end saddle partial denture? How is it?
Thank you.
Hi everyone,
I am seeking advice and/or experiences from those who wear a free end saddle denture, specifically on the lower jaw.
I'm 26 years old and will be having my lower right second molar extracted, leaving me with no posterior teeth on the right side. I don't have the means to get implants right now but it's not off the table for in the near future, once I'm able to work again.
I've heard good/bad things about partial dentures and I have one currently. It's pretty good considering the fit isn't the greatest. I can eat with it just fine. I have however not had a free end saddle partial denture before and this will be a new experience for me.
Thank you!
